Is Headley ready? I can't cope with wrong footed full backs. It is just wrong.i would rather Ruffles than Lowton based on the last two games. Turton is good enough as a proper right back in a 4 For one game? I'd have thought so, as long as he has someone decent behind him. Regular is a different matter, but we also have Jackson. I agree that it was a glaring omission & if we could bring in one player, that's the position I'd get one. I'd agree with the whole right footed left back thing. I don't even like to see right footed LCBs. And they should wear nrs 2 5 6 and 3 4 and 8 centre midfield 7 11 wide 9 10 up front 12 14 subs Thats how we set up c1986 Brighouse Sunday League 10am kick off In pub again at 12

We're going to fucking smash Wigan, and we'll all see what a drain on the team Fotheringham was.
Freedom to play, clear communication, and players in the right spots - and I love this guy flying in to help prepare the team for Saturday.

And Headley back to B team where he belongs. Him and Lowton shouldn’t be anywhere first team on Saturday.

I'd like to see a back four of Turton, Lees, Helix and Pearson with Boyle as backup as I think he's way ahead of Lowton at the moment who looks unfit and rusty.
Not sure on a midfield 3 or 4. 3: Camera, Kasuma, Hogg 4: Same but with rudoni - might even like a diamond, with Rudoni at the front and Hogg at the back.
Front 3: Waghorn, Holmes, Hungbo or 2: Hungbo, Waghorn. Choosing Holmes because he runs at people and wins free kicks.
As Hogg gets older, he appears to go further back down the pitch, which creates problems for a flat 3 or 4 in midfield. We could almost be heading to a 4-1-4-1 formation again.
I'm sick of seeing too many players defending as it leads to the confusion as to who marks who, and can lead to nobody making a challenge.

Mixed start for Lowton (LB hasn't helped) but I'd still start him ahead of Turton. He'll come good.

Confident that we're going to beat them 2-1, but we need Bilokapic back in goal. The Czech arrived here injured, it was risky to play him immediately.

What a captain, leading the club fearlessly by example in the media spotlight, as others further up shirk their responsibilities (I’m not referring to Chico)

It's a shame he's not a striker because he'd make a great focal point for the attack.

Vaclik Lees Helik Pearson Turton Hogg Rudoni Ruffels Knockaert Kamberi Koroma This for me. Offers the defensive structure needed with a striker that can hold the ball (Waghorn was non-stick last week), pace and trickery on the wings with a mobile balanced midfield. Well that’s what it is in my mind anyway 😬
