I’ve heard that they interested in the bloke who sometimes runs the line for Netherton Juniors under 14’s B team. Be careful who you wish for, I’ve done that job 😂 That’s a great interview! When can you start? And how does £20K a week sound? Let’s say a three year contract and you can bring your own back room staff (the ref who doesn’t have a whistle and the other lino who brings his own flag).

Not a price re warne....derby salary way out of our bracket. But we could've got in before Derby did. We just had to offer better wages than Rotherham. No we didnt.....he left for a club in rebuild where he would get time and a bumper pay deal. He wasnt looking to leave and right now we arent an attractive prospect with the ownership issues.

If someone has been "working" on him, I'd imagine it may be Pelach until the end of the season.

Next Town manager... someone who can immediately teach Matt Lowton to kick with his left foot.

I'm saying I'm sure we could've done a job on getting him to swap Rotherham for Town BEFORE Derby came in. Anyway, would anyone take Chris Houghton until the end of the season?

Really don't think we will give it to anyone on a long term basis especially with the club up for sale, Narcis till the end of the season I reckon. If that is the case, I hope they bring in an experienced assistant similar to Ross/Buxton or Jackson/Yorath to help him.

Was hugely admired at rovrum and would only have gone as he did for a long term project on his terms and top top money. We would offer neither.

Surprised that we have an interim manager as I heard last weekend that we had someone lined up and willing to takeover.

Difficult one this.
Do we give it someone with a big bonus for keeping us up knowing new owners may want their own man. So a Warnock or Allardyce who would be happy with that.
Would a Gerrard or Lampard want it to rebuild their rep of they kept us up? But how much would they cost?
Or do we go with a Wilder/Smith etc who could do the job and hopefully new owners keep them.

Ideally I think we need someone with championship experience to help steady the ship and keep us up. In reality, I don't know who would be desperate enough to accept the job right now! It’s still an attractive job, don’t think there’ll be a shortage of candidates.

Next Town manager... someone who can immediately teach Matt Lowton to kick with his left foot. Or someone who can select one of the three LB's we have instead.

Anyone but Warnock! Well, not anyone, but you get my drift. Please do not forget the perfidious way he walked out on us before. That was almost 30 years ago, all water under the bridge now.

Nor do any of the other 71 clubs in the football league. They all need a sugar Daddy / Mummy and ours does have cash. Question is whether he is prepared to spend it. In reality I think that he will know that he has to do something to give us a shot at staying up. I can’t see the current set up lasting until the end of the season.

Any young lads out there that are brilliant at football manager like the Reims mgr 🤣😂🤣🤣🤣 As daft as that suggestion sounds on the face of it, I would bet my kidneys that everyone who is on the Hall of Fame leaderboard on that game has a far greater grasp of tactics than Fotheringham does. As much as I love that game, that's a real insight into how low we stooped this season.

Steve Evans doing a cracking job this season. Love to see him sprinting down the touchline while his pants fall down Whatever you’re into mate - no kink shaming on DATM!

Gerard or Lampard? 😂 Not a chance under the current ownership. That’s like leeds fans thinking they’re getting Poch or Tuchel. It’s ideally suited for Warnock, tons of Championship experience and likes a short term deal. Wilder would be a very good appointment but the instability off the field might put him off. Gareth Ainsworth would have been my choice after Corberan left but now’s not the time for another (relatively) inexperienced manager. Always assuming anyone coming in would be til the end of the season, I’d say anyone with prior experience of managing in the Championship is a must, someone who can both motivate and have us playing a bit which I believe we have the players to do. Absolutely no more “projects”, no more 3rd team coaches from Germany certainly at this point in time.

The most interesting times to be on DATM:
1. When we've lost 2. Last day of the transfer window 3. When we've sacked a manager.
