Wish I was in the UK for the next couple of games, this will unite everyone.
Warnock will keep us up.
Enjoy the rest of the season those who can get there.

Delighted with this one. An old school manager who doesn't try to overcomplicate things, and most importantly a superb man manager.
Unsurprisingly there are many stories about him in Paddy Kenny's autobiography that I read last year, and some of his methods used to foster a togetherness in his squads were genius (and hilarious in some cases). The kind of bloke who knows exactly when to put an arm round someones shoulder or when and how to unleash the bollockings. Of all the people we could have hired, I believe strongly that getting Warnock gives us the best chance of avoiding the drop.
Cheers, Deano, I can't fault this one.

Great to see Neil and rocket Ronnie back at the helm. But is it too little too late. Our fixtures in March are horrendous to say the least. If anyone can keep us up it Colin. But my fear it this appointment maybe a month too late. It's my fear too Should have been appointed weeks ago But if anyone can salvage this mess it's Warnock

Prove me wrong Neil, but i fear this appointment has come too late to save us. Have to agree, looking at the remaining fixtures its hard to see where the 8 wins we need are coming from You can look at the fixture list all day, unnexpected results happen all the time and we have just the man to hopefully see it happen, we'll have defeats along the way but we have a chance now of garnering enough points to see us right, it might all go to shit, we might narrowly miss out on safety by a point, or we might survive, we have a new sense of optimism with enough games for it to be justified.

When was the last time we had a proper new manager bounce?
Wagner clearly made a difference but wasn’t exactly an immediate bounce.
Cowley’s took a few games to turn the ship around
I’m struggling to remember a new manager (not including interims) who actually made an immediate difference in results.
Who am I missing?

You know, even if we go down this will somehow make it easier. I loved Ronnie Jepson as a player. My favourite Town goal was a combination of him and Andy Booth. You just know that Warnock will give it everything, and there are few with more experience at this level. Bloody great. Roll on Saturday.

Can't remember the last managerial appointment that has been so universally embraced (maybe apart from saintly terrier!). Everyone is on board with it, and I can't fucking wait for Saturday afternoon now. Too bloody true! I would like to place on record that I'm not doubting that Warnock has had some success, though mostly some time ago; it's his character I'm questioning. I will not be drawn further. End of my input on this topic. (Everyone gasps with relief.)

I’m hoping to travel down from Scotland for either the Blackburn Rovers match on Easter Monday or The Yorkshire Derby clash with Sheffield United on 28th April... I’m usually keen to get to a pub after the match but with The Rope Walk not there I might just hang about to say hello and get an autograph ! (And ask him does he have property in Dunoon - This was a bit of pub chat I heard when he was linked with a vacancy at Rangers, but it is ‘The Island of Lies’ quite often here so goodness only knows)... If I do catch him for a quick chat - It’ll be straight into Legends Bar for a beer as he is a Legend as a Town manager and his man management skills went a helluva long way in our Wembley play off success in that great game of football v Bristol Rovers !!! 👍 👍

Are we taking bets on the starting 11 on Saturday? Bilo Lowton Lees Pearson Ruffles Hogg Kasumu Camara Knockaert Rudoni Hungbo Simpson If we can't get a result with 12 man he would need sacking.

Would love it, if he pulled us out of the crap we are in, kept us up, and was then tempted to take the job on next season.
Saturday should be rocking.

Pleased with the appointment but still hard to see us staying up. We've effectively brought him after all our "easy" games have gone. There is only really Reading and Cardiff left who you could throw in to that category (Reading are dire away from home)
Where are the goals coming from against these better sides?

Said exactly the same to a Fulham fan last week He made a very good point. These things mean feck all in the Championship. We get closer to end of season and more teams buckle or head on the beach too soon. Yes it’s the same for everyone but aside from a couple of sides this is a very average league

Just wish this appointment had come 5 games ago In that respect you're right, more games gives you more leverage to get things right, under Neil Warnock we'll have 45 points to play for (not including weds) so i do think its doable, we'll see over the next few weeks.

When Wagner took over the results might not have instantly improved but the upturn in performances was massive. The 2-0 defeat to Middlesboro comes to mind.

This division doesnt work like that IMO, especially in the last months of a season. The ' easy' games are actually against sides near the bottom who are giving their all and quite probably have a new manager bounce going on.. like we hopefully will The 'hard' games are often against sides jittering with nerves and pressure as the finishing line comes into sight. The championship has to be the hardest division there is for predicting results. I genuinely dont think theres a huge difference is quality between sides near the top and sides near the bottom... the difference is between the players ears..confidence more than anything.

Well I hope he has the time he needs but if anyone can do it, it's Warnock. Some of the best of times watching Town back then. Two Wembley trips in short order. Hope he can keep us up. Fair play to Hoyle for going to get him because he probably was not a cheap option.

He’s the manager! Not a Head Coach with f****** Bromby interfering.
I suspect it pretty much went along the lines of I will come back and do this, but I do it my way and thats that.
Perfect appointment for us. Just keep Bromby away from the club and let Warnock work his magic. Reading the Cardiff forum on us appointing him tells you everything.

Neil Warnock won’t stay silent and won’t be out of the news, so I think we can expect a bit more communication from now on, whether officially or not.

This isn't a bad lot of players but they are so mentally gone at the moment we were going down.
Warnock is probably the only one who I think could turn it around. He has the gravitas to walk in there and tell them he took the job because it's easy with them and he wants the playoffs. That much kudos they'll be sky high off his words.
Maybe a bit exaggerated but this isn't trying to get them playing magic new tactics, this is getting them going and he's one of the best in the business at that.
Bring it on!
