We need to average around 1.5 points a game in these last eleven to have any chance. I can't see it happening tbh. The only positive is the 4 of the current top 6 we have left to play all have to come to our place. Warnock will do his best to make sure all the pressure is on those teams.

I gave up any hope after Coventry (0-4) on Saturday... All that’s left for me is the hope of not finishing totally bottom now -
Nonetheless I’ll still be down to support Town v Sheffield United all being well whenever that one is played !

Based on last 10 seasons below points were enough to stay up (these are actual points or the lowest that 4th bottom would have needed): 21/22 - 38 Points 20/21 - 44 points 19/20 - 49 points 18/19 - 41 points 17/18 - 42 points 16/17 - 51 points 15/16 - 41 points 14/15 - 42 points 13/14 - 44 points 12/13 - 55 points I’m thinking this year 45 should do it……so 17 points needed; 5 wins and a few draws. UTFT Now we are on 43 with 5 games left I'm thinking 45 seems a bit low for safety.........I think it will be more needed, and luckily with recent form we can achieve it. Would say now 49 will be enough.......two more wins needed.......(or win and 3 draws........) we can do it!!!

7 out of last 10 seasons our current points would keep us up….maybe this isn’t the weakest year in the Championship!!

The 3 demoted teams is going to the wire, I think 4 teams will battle it out on the last game of the season. If nothing else it will be our cup final against Reading packed to the rafters with full throttle emotion. I have set my heart on it in a strange way, we stop up, or go down fighting. This is what I posted in February, still believe its all on the Reading game, praying to god we both need a draw to stay up.

Town will be fine, looking at the other teams fixtures and ours, if it comes down to last game, I won't be worried, get them beach towels out lads, Town are safe, glass 100% full👍

The bottom 2 are dead and buried. All we need to do is match Reading and QPR results and we are safe. Cardiff or Rotherham may be sucked back into it, but I think final place is between Town, Reading and QPR.

Still think we need 50, possibly 48. I reckon QPR have one more win in them and Reading haven't given up.
Hopefully we'll grab a win at Cardiff and fingers crossed. Other results go our way and we only need a point from Sheffield united or Reading.

I think we need 4 points from Cardiff and Sheff U. Even then we might still be sweating on that final day.

Personally, I want Cardiff to win their games and hopefully they are safe when we play them. I would fancy us to do better than QPR and Reading anyway.

3 points today against a very hungover & lack of sleep since Thursday night Cardiff City, then a point on Thursday (May the fourth) v Sheffield United academy with a promise not to grass them to the EFL.....48 points & safety as predicted on this poll, book Friday off for another 4 day bank holiday weekend.

5 more points should keep us up 2 points from the next 3 games , as long as 1 is against Reading , so 46 points

All we need now is a Town-Blades love in in celebration of Neil Warnock. Makes complete sense. Well done Town today and thank you NW and RJ.

Looks like 31% were right - the answer was 48.

Looks like 31% were right - the answer was 48. Please let that 31% be correct for Town on Thursday ! (For what it’s worth I went 50 at the time the poll came out)...

Looks like Cardiff would have been the ones going down if it hadn't have been for Reading's 6-point deduction.

And it would have been QPR had Burnley not decided to start gifting points to our rivals.
Yes I’m sure some will throw the Sheff Utd result at me but we’d demonstrated we were well capable of beating or getting a result against a range of top 6/7 opposition in recent weeks
QPR are the ones who must be feeling mighty relieved at Readings deduction.
