Just back home from a good game at Sutton. Congratulations Town and NW!!!! 2 quick questions: How did Bilokapic get an assist? Why 16 minutes additional time? How were Doncaster and Danny Schofield? Has he got them playing? See my post on the ex-players thread. To answer your question Donny dominated the first half and played some good stuff in the middle and on the flanks without creating any real chances. The Sutton manager obviously had a good talk at half time and Sutton completely deserved the win with two good goals.

Just playing more where the ball is, in or out of possession. Concede another goal where we just dont get 5 or 10 yards up the pitch was dissapointing but no heads went and a deserved win in the end. We dont usually shoot so 2 great strikes is a huge bonus. Far more town winning tackles and challenges and to see our wide player and then late sub striker running away from defenders was novel.. There is enough there to win enough games, the will and desire needs to be kept up. Town 'bounce' ?? Lets bleeding hope so.. 17 minutes bordered on ludicrous but the ref and linos were of the same crappy standard we have got used to.. Gave simpson offside when he started in his own half, lino ran 10 yards to catch up with play and then gave offside? ?? Shitheads.. UTT.. NWBA..🤪

Concerned about the keeper, would rather have hop along. Only a matter of time before Bilo drops a bollock. He was excellent today. Only a matter of time before any player drops a bollock. Not sure why this comment is always reserved for keepers. I thought he was great today and think he's been fine every time he's played.

Simpson was great when he came on. Put the fear of god into their CB's. Got some pace on him.

I couldn’t make the game today, but what a brilliant result, I can’t believe it.
Well I can believe it because finally we’ve got a proper manager with experience who plays to our strengths. Shame it’s come after three 6 pointers
Anyway, at least there’s a bit of light

Excellent battling performance.
We got the ball forward quickly, committed men forward and made POSITIVE substitutions.
I thought this was a master stroke as we've conceded so many late goals and sat back so much NW recognised that and acted accordingly.
Happy for Kasumu to not get booked, he had a good game. Headley was superb. Rudoni tried hard but still looks miles of scoring or being a viable reliable creator.
Defteinly the best I've seen us play this season; with warnock in charge a month ago I don't think we'd be in this mess.
It's a big ask with so many games against top half sides but with Warnock and Jeppo at the wheel I think we'll be competitive in most fixtures.

I thought we were magnificent today. Passion and determination throughout and what a pleasure it was to see an organised team with a game plan. Some players who have been killed on here in past weeks proved that they actually are good players. Bilo was excellent. Lowton - whilst still out of position was excellent and the much maligned Ruffles looked like a left back .

I'm only listening to music from 1993-1995 in honour of Sir Neil's first spell.
This will not change my listening habits much.

Hungbo my MOTM by a mile. Apart from goal he was all over the place. Kicked every ball, had passion by the bucket full. Went off because he was khackered. Both physical and mental. Well played young man!

I was cursing Hungbo for not squaring it. 2 seconds later it was in the top corner. Great strike

Left the game smiling today.
We looked a different team didn’t we!
Simpson looks faster than he should be and both goals was taken well.
Let’s hope this spurs some confidence into the lads.
Feels good to be typing something positive 😉

Big thing for me was heads not going down after conceding an offside goal or letting an obvious penalty being denied get to them.

What about Headley? Looks like we might have a valuable asset on our hands with the right coaching

A massive 3 points, a complete change in attitude from the players, Warnock is a very clever manager. (As we already knew) Sooooo frustrating we didn’t have him in for the QPR,Blackpool and Wigan games! But we’re still in there fighting.

Just home and loved it! Shows you what a quality manager can do. He got the selection and tactics spot on - everyone who started 7 out of 10 or better, with Hungbo, Headley, Camara and Kasumu outstanding.

Brilliant today. Not just the win but just seeing a bit of passion and pride again. Love Colin.
Should we stay up with Nicholls, Turton, Helik, Pearson, Nakayama, Headley, Kasumu and Camara, then with a little investment there is a good base to build from.
Great feeling positive again and having a reason to believe again. It’s going to be tough with the run in, but at least we can believe again.
Get me another beer. UTT

Just want to say wow.. what a man manager Neil is. We knew it but today was next level. Moved players around a little but with some belief it worked wonders.
And we went 0-1 down after 6 minutes.. no heads dropped! UTT

Feeling positive about our chances of staying up now. Not the easiest run in, but equally I don’t think it’s anything to be scared of after that performance today.
Brizzle and Cov are two massive home games to get us nearer that group above us.

In and amongst all the positivity I can't help but feel a pang of sadness, that Warnock is only here for 15 games, and even more sad is that he is part of a dying breed of proper characters who just now how to galvanise a club and it's supporters from the moment they walk through the door. A proper bloke who you can relate to and could just as easily be any other fella you meet down the pub.
In my time watching Town, him and Wagner are the only managers I've been interested in hearing speak.
What a fucking guy.

Hungbo was excellent today, sitting in the FM stand today you could see in the first half the ‘out ball’ was down the right channel for him to run onto…. Headley was quality to play him in on the counter before popping it into the top bin….. two up top works for me with a striker running their bollocks off into the channel and Ward doing his best too… UTT

Haven’t been as excited as that since I lost my virginity although this feeling lasted much longer. Suddenly the players looked better quality, the passion was back with so many challenges won and even Ruffels looked decent - just shows what a good manager can do and what an almighty bollock Bromby dropped in appointing Schofield and Buzz - we really shouldn’t be anywhere near relegation and we wouldn’t have been if managerial appointments hadn’t been so criminally executed. Earlier this season I made some positive comments re Simpson and got Pelters for it - well I stand by my comments - he has pace and strength and is a right handful. Thought Ward looked the best since last season and all the youngsters were outstanding. Can he keep us up ? If we continue to play with that passion and belief, then yes he can. Come on Town that was a great game of football. (Although why so many left before the end I will never know)

Just been looking back on some of the early posts on the game- we start well with a much higher back line and better team selection and go one down- and DATM is in meltdown with same old, squad shite etc. It was a much better start FFS in terms of application and desire I sit with an ex town director who said thank God we are moving it forward faster. People forget the sheer bloody negativity of CC and the obsession of keeping control in your back third. Our press was higher meaning Ward got real support It really is not rocket science just basic planning with the resources you have. And why an obsession with experience when Bilo,Kasuma Camaro and Headley play like that! And lastly I have never wavered in thinking Rudoni was the best long term buy of recent years. UTT
