I think some fans need to not put too much emphasis on how many billions members of the consortium have. Wealth doesn't necessarily mean they are willing to part with it and I would hazard a guess our transfer spending will remain similar to what we had before the premier league at best with the new group

Having read much of the comment on here re the takeover I still wonder at the motivation of our new owners. The hope of course is they see us as a route to the Prem but on a low cost basis. Having invested minimally to purchase if Dean has written off his debt will they take the view that they can invest in the team to get us to the money league? It would seem strange for them to get involved with a championship /league one club just to keep us there. Be interesting to hear their stated aims. They'll make the right noises which is to be expected, never do new owners come in and say..."we're totally lacking in ambition, our aim is to take the club to mid table mediocrity and stay there while nurturing our own talent for us to sell, not for us the top flight". Seriously we just dont know at the mo, we'll know more soon enough.

Hearing rumours of associations with Pacific FC over on Vancouver Island in the CPL.
Slight tangent but I went to one of their games last season. Incredible set up. Obviously very different to England and the standard was on a par with the Conference (with a lot of players from the Conference playing when it would normally be their off season). But incredible to have such a wide selection of ales and beers and to be able to drink them by the side of the pitch.

Could work, could not. All the LinkedIn investor hogwash isn't exactly setting my pulse racing.

"Are you ready for an exciting new chapter in the world of football? Our American investment company, with strong links to Canada, has taken over Huddersfield Town football club and we're ready to take this team to new heights. We believe in investing in more than just financial success - we invest in dreams. And the dream for Huddersfield Town is to return to the Premier League and compete in Europe. We're confident that with our expertise and strategic vision, we can help make that dream a reality. Our team of investment professionals is already hard at work, putting together innovative strategies to build a competitive team on and off the pitch. We'll be using our data-driven approach to make smart decisions that get results, and our commitment to collaboration means we'll be working closely with everyone involved with the club, from the coaching staff to the fans. Huddersfield Town is a historic team with a passionate fanbase, and we're honored to be a part of that legacy. Our investment is more than just financial - it's a commitment to building a club that's sustainable, competitive, and successful for years to come. So, get ready for an exciting ride, because we're taking Huddersfield Town to the top." Is that more like it? 🤭

Lowton and Waghorn, apparently not recruited by Bromby are utterly shite though. So whoever replaces Bromby needs to know they are doing. Controversial opinion…. Bromby might be good with a bigger budget. Not that controversial. I'm assuming he's already out of favour from what's been said and if not, whoever is taking over will want to bring their own people in.

Oh yeh I’m aware of that.was just pointing out that should it actually turn out to be them it’s not encouraging. Some are saying whitecaps, others linking with Vancouver fc because they had players trialing with us,a new link with pacific fc who are owned by sixfive group, sixfive group have been mentioned before any mention of pacific fc…maybe because they also own Vancouver fc,iv heard rumours of Florida/Miami based group(DA Capital) it’s literally a minefield. Personally and my previous comments back this up,I wanted the moores group but that’s not happening so there you go 😂😂 Oh and don’t forget the ricketts group mention(guessing nothing to do with Michael,I think it was,the Bolton striker)

Which other countries make up North America? Mexico? Certainly not, Central America. Ah yes! The continent of Central America, my mistake! Similar, in many respects, to continents of Central Europe and Central Asia. 😂
