You have to have a threat, even when winning a game. If not centre halves and full backs become extra attackers and you are living on hope. Sitting in and holding a line might work, sitting in an 2 dropping behind the line time after time, leads to what we saw today practically for the whole game. Blackburn looked vulnerable at the back but they can play forward if you allow them to, look how many games they have lost. Wrong tactics in the second half and failure to give us a threat to stop them all joining in every attack. Its a lucky point and we need a goalkeeper not a camera save merchant. I'm sorry, but Warnock managed for 40 years, come in and turned us around from being 5pts adrift and got 3 wins on the bounce. What exactly is on your CV that means you know more than him? Surely he is allowed an opinion on a fan message board?

I thought he was garbage, he runs around a lot but his touch is terrible as was his passing and shooting,he grafted hard though, give him that. Agree 100% mate. Some reet fkn clowns on here. If he controlled a ball better, he wouldn't have half as much ratting around to do. Same with a lot of them. Any Town player whose first touch you do rate ? 😁

Vaxkik - Outstanding Rudoni & Ward- ran their bollocks off. Pearson/Lees/Helik - diito Hogg -Shocking performance. Never put a tackle in, ran away from the ball. If he'd been any further back he'd have been behind Vaclik. Some good/desperate defending today, but our captain was crap!!! Hoggy is 34 years old and these last few games will have taken a toll on most of the players. He pushed out a lot. Closed down where there were gaps but he was positioned, by Warnock I presume, in a deep cenral defensive midfield role, and that is what he did. He played deep, probably, beacuse Warnock had noted Blackburn like to play through gaps in the middle, which they did a lot. You seem to see a rather one dimensional game. He didn't push out at all. He was carp!!!

Careful. Got fucking massacred on here for implying he was no Luca Modric today. I thought he was garbage, he runs around a lot but his touch is terrible as was his passing and shooting,he grafted hard though, give him that. I don't think anyone was garbage far from it. Today was after 2 trips to London and the 3rd best team in the league visiting us. Form has moved from that of bottom 3 to that of a team at the top half. To get that turn around over such a short period is remarkable. Kasumu did some great stuff and some stuff he needs to improve on same as every town player. If a player never made mistakes or had nothing to improve on they would not be playing for us!

Good point...most would have taken that before the game. Tinged with disappointment we couldn't quite hang on.
Blackburn easily the best of the teams we've played in this last run of 5 games. Yes I get the argument that we gave them the opportunity but they pushed us back relentlessly with the movement. That led to us dropping deeper to defend the last pass.....which we did very well.
Our organisation and understanding of each others roles is fabulous at the moment. Down to warnock. Young kids like rudoni constantly knowing when to press and when to not.
Yet somewhere, despite this amazing upturn and the chance we've given ourselves to survive, there's still a nagging frustration that 12 months ago Blackburn would have been worried about what we could do to them - rather than the other way round. But we are where we are and full credit to the players and management.
Finish the job now Town. Don't dick about needing a draw in the last game....I still can't un-forget 2001

Without doubt the best team to come here in recent memory. Funny thing is with a bit of thought and a decent pass on the break we could have won 4 1.

All of our ballboys at that end of the field are regularly bellends in terms of not giving the ball back decently and wanting to be part of the show. Doesn't seem to happen at the other end of the field at all for some reason? 100% irrelevant to the incident. His dad should take it up with H.T.F.C, and demand it goes further, assault would be my reasoning.

Blackburn were very good today. They likely thought a win was required and pressed on like their lives depended on it but as results elsewhere turned out, a draw wasn't so bad for them.
I would quite like Blackburn to go up! A very similar Town to Huddersfield, had a good drink and curry their last season and had a really good time. It's a deprived centre, worse than our own (takes some doing) but every single person we met was great, really nice folks.
Thought Town gave it their all but we looked tired today. A point was a good result for us.

After the game today I was on the train back to Manchester when I came across 4 chavvy (clearly virgins) Blackburn fans who were basically terrorising anybody on the train they could, along with singing the only Blackburn song they knew about Rankin-Costello. Meanwhile, 2 of them had to ring their Dad's to ask foe more data to play offensive music and videos. I know its probably petty to then condemn Blackburn to eternal damnation, but thems the brakes!

I was telling the kids about Easter 1970 & that in those days we didn't play on Good Friday, no we only played Saturday away at Pompey, Monday at home to Hull (3pm) & then Tuesday away at Middlesbrough (7-45pm)..........Same 12 players, wearing same boots & 2 kits & trained the next day.

The difference in technical ability between the two sides was scary. Great point but it showed just how packed out our squad is with workers rather than footballers

Wow - amazing how differently folks see games. I thought hogg was ok.......particularly given the mobility and ability of blackburns midfield and coming 3 days after a big effort at watford.

It was a comment on alexdire's observation about the kid being a bit of a dick & obviously wholly relevant to that part of the discussion. If you say so. Well that’s the post and point I was directly replying to and quoted…not sure why you dropped in and pointed out that my observation was irrelevant to something I wasn’t even commenting on! ? 🤷♂️

Well then - missed a lot of today’s footy as was busy getting a place set up for ma sister who is relocating to The West Island as manager of Gortonvogie Residential Home but while it’s sickening to have lost that injury time equaliser to Blackburn having watched the highlights earlier on STV and looked at the stats my goodness I’m very happy with a point to be honest !
Plus we’re all a game nearer to the finish line and no one gained on us but we critically gained on Cardiff and Reading (Thank You Preston) ! and also Blackpool and Wigan...
Reading have Burnley no less, visiting on Saturday, and Cardiff are away to Sheffield United and Town are at Swansea a team with nothing to play for now, so a perfect set of fixtures on paper - what a pity the game ain’t played on paper though...
Still it is a huge huge weekend for HTAFC among others and here’s hoping that we’re a wee (or even good) bit closer to safety come 5pm on Saturday !

Happy with a point
We gave it all, they were technically better
We were shot after 70 mins, but put in the context of our recent run, cant really complain
Anyone feeling sore for not getting all 3, look at Reading at Preston, that will have hurt, plus they have Paul Ince to deal with
Things are looking up
