We needed Knockhart in midfield just to sit on the ball and then actually find our runners, we had nobody to just take some time on the ball, imo. Been an issue in our side since Mooy, we have no one in midfield who is strong in possession and can make themselves time on the ball. Needs addressing going forward imo. Edit: actually Camara can do it, but not sure what’s happening with him Doesn’t look good when a player of his quality isn’t even making the bench. There seems to be a contract issue but it might just be Warnock doesn’t think he fits what is required to survive this season.

Were we the first team that put numbers on back of shirts under Herbert Chapman? Sure I read that somewhere

We’re awesome at setting daft football records First goal directly from a corner First golden goal (I think) Longest unbeaten run (not including getting beaten in a final 😂, that really wound folk up) Getting promoted to the Prem with a negative goal difference Anymore? Fastest 'perfect' hat-trick? Jordan Rhodes at home but I forget who it was against. was the fastest headed hat-trick. As another poster said it was home against Exeter

I wonder if another team's ground has hosted as many 'home' teams as Leeds Road? Town of course, and I seem to remember that Leeds and Bradford both had a game or two there?

You're possibly being a bit too kind; I just think he's a bit thick and has already decided that he won't be pulling on a Town shirt again and, as he's now a full international, in his own mind he's already a Premier League player whether that will be with Blackburn or somebody else. I think he's just a bit thick. As thick as creating a new account when you're already banned and thinking no one would notice?

I know he can be a bit caustic sometimes (chip off the old moaner block ) but I've never noticed anything particularly offensive from him. Certainly no worse than some, who are still members?

Dont care how much of the ball we have or how many completed passes we achieve. I dont care much about how much possesion the opposition have, I do however, care if its hugely in our final third or penalty area. If we play the game we have to get that right.

Felt against Boro and Watford we stuck to the game plan no matter what, we went behind and nothing changed in our of style of play. Yesterday going ahead we shat ourselves and took Warnock ball to the extreme that's what cost us. Simpson needed to come on as did REG. I was just too negative, defending like that never works, you've got to put your foot on the ball every now and then. I don't remember us having the ball in the corner for a single second. Ultimately it was an horrendous 'misjudgement' by Helik that cost us.. he seemed to totally misread the cross coming in..strode 5 yards forwards leaving Lees with two strikers to mark....then watched as the ball flew 3 feet over his head and turned round just in time to see 'his' man head powerfully for goal..unmarked..By the time he was holding his head in his hands it was 2-2 and all that work for nothing... One error, under pressure...
having said that, I've no idea why Pearson decided to abandon his rb slot and run 15 yards out of the box to challenge their guy who was 30 yards out and nowhere near the ball..

If that's true then he's an idiot IMO. Anyone with half an ounce of sense would be keeping a low profile, he might have wanted his current team to win but his employers (and its fans) are still paying his wages and stand a good chance of being relegated with all that it entails (job losses etc). For that reason he should have shown some class and not overtly celebrated any of the goals, basic common sense. Plus, no matter what he thinks, he may well end up back here next season. They might not want him in either league and Town might, if we manage to stay up, and maybe even if we don't depending on the budget. Nothing like a bit of exaggeration and loss of perspective on DATM. - you don't know it happened. - Football is an emotional sport. - You have no idea we are paying his wages whilst on loan, and it is doubtful we are. - there are rumours he's been treated like shite by the club and previous management team. - its documented he has been rattled by our 'fans'. Calling him a paedo aint gonna help. - i'm pretty sure neither Sorba, or any other footballer for that matter, would be thinking about potential job losses at that time. Oh the irony, read the first 3 words of my post, Ive no idea if its true or not as I clearly said in the first fcking three words I like Sorba, Im a big fan, and Id like to think it wasn't true! IF it was then he's a tit IMO as Ive said, after all he's a fully grown adult not a child. No exaggeration or loss of perspective in my post but maybe a touch in yours eh? Your reply and ones like it are one of the reasons I hardly ever bother posting on here these days! Get off your high horse!

In 45 minutes of attack and defence, one horrendous error on top of your own goal is almost bound to happen, eventually. Also in 45 minutes the opposition will push on and will get a man over close to your goal plus the effort of organisation of the defence will go to shit now and again. It all adds up to more than likely conceeding, especially against a quick and technically good Blackburn team. They looked vulnerable in defence and proved to be, unfortunately we didnt test them after Hoggys free header, it was simply could they get another or even 2.?

I agree, the odds were shortening as every minute went by with us sat on the edge of our own box. The sad thing is though it wasn't one of those dangerous channel balls, where they scored their 1st goal, it wasn't even getting round the back of us and crossing..it was a lobbed ball from wide out, 25+ yards out, to the edge of our 6 yard box..something we'd gobbled up all afternoon...Blackburn had run out if ideas, this was a desperate hopefull punt..I don't know what Helik was thinking...he'd had a great game, as he usually does..watch the goal a few times, and watch Pearson..it's really bizarre.

The SC announcement has reminded me, did anyone hear some of the Blackburn fans singing champions of England you'll never sing that. Whoppers.

Something drops for you eventually if you have so much possession so close to the other goal, our 'hope' that they wont take that chance is made less hopeful everytime they get close. Said before the longer you defend a small area the harder it gets not to be just out of position once and it costs. We can defend deep we just cant do it for as long as we keep trying to do it. Has to be breaks to get reorganised, to move up and get set up again. We had players on the bench to try and at least alter some of the last 15/20 minutes. Harratt on his own up the pitch and High were not going to change much. Have to turn their defence and have them running backwards, have to make them start from deep time after time if you can, has to be a threat of a break, even if you dont actually have one.

Just not out of the blocks quick enough after the break for their first and I swear we switched off when the added minutes were announced. Two lapses in concentration cost us 2 points.
