I'm nervous as hell. Like others have said we very rarely do it the easy way. I've got all sorts of ridiculous scenarios in my head. Nice to get over the line tomorrow night and give Warnock the send off he deserves come Monday Lad in the pub the other night said he dreamt we lost to a late dubious pen tonight & then on Monday go in 3-0 down at HT, only to stage a Liverpool/AC Milan comeback scoring the equaliser with last kick of the match.......He then said 'Are you ok you've gone really pale & your shaking.

8-1 double forSheff U and Reading. 30 quid pays for your season ticket if it happens. If not then 30 quid well spent. And yet only 6-1 on Town to get relegated (Skybet) Reading 1/12 for the drop. It doesn't 'feel' like those odds to me!

They must have improved a lot because in our games against them, I was convinced we’re a better team than them. We were when we beat them.

The unExamined seem to think we may switch to a back three with either REG or Kasumu at R/WB. They say that is how NW has lined us up previously against teams that play three at the back.

In the words of our glorious leader, “Anyone else shitting themselves? No? Just me.” Come on Town, positive start and if we go behind, throw everything forward. Doesn’t matter how many we lose by, so better to gamble and really go for it. if we lose tonight and Sunday, GD will come into it ? so we may need a high-scoring loss tonight to boost our 'Goals For' in the case of GD being tied

Hoping for a similar type of game tonight to the Cardiff one, they let us know early on that they didn't want or need to get into an arm wrestle having achieved safety, the only booking came from a clumsy (no malice) tackle from their full back, makes absolutely no sense for Blades players to risk serious injury or suspension when they have secured promotion........point apiece & everyone happy. (apart from Reading FC).

Just caught the back end of some bloke on 5live, a Reading supporter who was quite downcast about their club.
He mentioned that the sanctions imposed were impossible to adhere to because they still have some players on £30k p/w there?
Well I suppose if you sell those players you could adhere to the sanctions but they chose not to.
He seemed like an OK bloke to be fair, but I’m not sure how much sympathy the neutral should have for Reading if they’ve intentionally flouted the sanctions. I’d imagine they were always hopeful that they could flout them enough for it not to be a problem, but that’s not how it’s panned out.
Get the job done tonight please Town, it would be a travesty if the money won the day again on Monday…

Goal difference will either relegate us or not matter as we'll have the points. It HAS to move by 3 at least between Town and Reading - assuming we lose both, so we get relegated whether we lose 1-0 or 100-0

Another thing to add into the mix is the Yorkshire derby element, form is almost irrelevant, as are league positions.
I am pretty confident we will be safe at the end of the game tonight (though not as 100% certain as I was when Schindler was walking up to his penalty) & if we're not, we go again on Monday.
Neil has got this team believing in itself again, what is it - 1 defeat in 9? - we have 2 games to get the point we need, why should we think we'll suddenly lose 2 home games on the trot?
We have got this lads & lasses. Not sure if the lass at Cardiff in the Warnock hawaiian shirt will be at the game but the lads should do it for her, her support of the team last match was outstanding.

It would also be nice to finish 6 points above reading to make our achievement even more valid
No grumbles from other clubs saying you only stayed up due to readings points deduction

It doesn't 'feel' like those odds to me!Me neither and I wish the media would stop talking like we've already achieved it! From my perspective there is an absolute sh1t load still to do and we still have a very good chance of being relegated! Sheff Utd on the beach or a very good team playing without fear and going for records? The fact they're home and hosed could end up being a major disadvantage. I just hope the atmos tonight can give us the edge, needs to be intense and partisan from the off, not nervy.

Apologies for being lazy, but can someone remind me why this game is being played tonight and wasn’t able to be played earlier in the week?
I know it was linked to their fixture backlog due to the FA Cup, but it still feels odd that it couldn’t have been played earlier this week.

However I'm not sure it feels right I’ll be doing it but I’m the worlds worst gambler so you should be safe if it doesn’t feel right. The only reason we’re not going into these 2 games in the bottom 3 is because I’ve been betting on Wigan, Blackpool, Reading, Cardiff etc to win for the last couple of weeks. Neil and the players will say otherwise but trust me it’s down to me 😋

Anyone heard from Westie?
Have the BTP had to board any trains on the west coast mainline to confiscate a carriage load of alcohol?

Absolutely agree with VLP above, wouldn't be using language like 'free hit' if I was in Warnock's shoes and I'm sure he isn't prepping them like that either. As SU are to all intent and purposes a PL club now then treat it like a cup game against higher league opposition and take the game to them and leave nothing on the pitch at full time.

I know it was linked to their fixture backlog due to the FA Cup, but it still feels odd that it couldn’t have been played earlier this week. Knowing the last game was to be played on Monday 8th both agreed to move from Wednesday to Thursday..........lets hope they both agreed on other requirements, like good neighbours do.

scores in either game are irrelevant..Those late goals we've conceded in stoppage time..7 goals....
