It's hard to ignore my inner cynicism regarding this fixture. Sheff United already up and no reason to give a shit either way, they're Warnock's club and Warnock's people, it's got a 0-0 or 0-1 festival of shithousery written all over it and I've not even thought about the possibility of losing this one. I could be wrong and we might get dicked 4-0, but if I was a Reading fan I'd be massively uncomfortable about the Warnock factor in this fixture. I think the majority of Blades fans would rather Town stay up (now Millers are safe), maybe one or two dicks spouting off on the forum about Warnock should remember although he & Paul Heckingbottom both played at Barnsley & both took Sheff Utd to PL, that no way would Neil don the blue & white strips in S6 (Paul did, shhh)........Just don't bring it up till after the game NW.

Taken from the article you put a link for. Match of the Day? Tell Gary Lineker to f**k off,” Warnock jokingly said in the footage, which was caught live on Canadian TV. “Oh, have you caught that on camera? He called me Colin. Can I say ‘I’m Colin here’. You don’t know why I’m Colin do you? Right.” 1.Warnock jokingly said. 2. Obviously the reporter didn't get it. Many a true word spoken in jest, good judge of character is Neil, typical lack of respect from the odious Lineker.

Boomer? Really? 70s kid so definitely not a boomer. And also the reason I thought you were getting offended on someone else's behalf. It's generally the younger folks I see that coming from. Love the passive aggressive though, quality I was born in the late 1970s and my stepdaughter still calls me a boomer. I think it can be taken as "anyone older than me", as opposed to necessarily being someone who was actually born between the end of WW2 and the early 60s.

Sheffield United academy team won 7-1 yesterday to win the PDL North title......maybe they should play the 1st team against Town.

Surely you’re not bringing politics into this?

I could be wrong and we might get dicked 4-0, but if I was a Reading fan I'd be massively uncomfortable about the Warnock factor in this fixture. there's no way a manager would tell his team to 'take it easy'...but the team selection (as we've seen with Burnley) would affect the performance... but the Utd players will have lucrative PL contracts to play for..so if it was me in that position I'd be trying my hardest against Town. The ones discarded could be the most dangerous players on the pitch, I'm sure their agents will have been onto the DOF at Bramall Lane in the last few days, they may be one or two in with a chance of getting a 'lucrative PL contract'.......most could be in the shop window I suspect.

Surely you’re not bringing politics into this?Eh?! Lineker showed a lack of respect, old jug ears referring to a premier league manager by his nickname of "Colin Wnker", totally unprofessional and disrespectful so Warnock responded similarly. What's politics got to do with it!?!??

Edit: That ain't a dig at you Atlantis, I don't even know what your views on Lineker are.

But you’ve obviously got a bee in your bonnet about Lineker.

well he would say that wouldn't he, in advance of (hopefully) a lame defeat at the JSS. Worth about as much as a Sunak or Starmer promise...

If we currently had just the Reading game left, i’d be relatively confident we could avoid defeat.
Problem is if we do lose tomorrow, it’s a kick in our balls and a shot in the arm for Reading. Leaving me less upbeat about Monday:

Leaving me less upbeat about Monday: Exactly my worry, we’ll be downbeat cos we could’ve been safe, they’ll be thinking they’re down and will be on a massive high if we lose tomorrow! Be glad when it’s all over!

But if we only had Reading left that’s one less Chance to secure safety. I really don’t understand your logic.

My point is purely if we only had one chance, we’d be going into it on a high. If, and hopefully we won’t, we do end up on our second chance we’ll be going into it on a low.

I struggle to see what the problem is with Colin. It’s an unfortunate consequence of his name, but he’s a thick skinned 74yo, I really don’t think it qualifies as Lineker being disrespectful. If Colin had been really pissed off he’d have insisted on an apology, but he told him to F off instead, because he knows there’s no malice in it.

Yeah, he made a mention of it in his interview with David Prutton and seemed quite jovial. Personally I find it amusing and I'd be quite happy with an amusing anagram of my own name if I knew one.
