Looks like Everton have posted, then deleted, a video showing they've signed Johnny Evans. Can't understand why they'd choose him over Coady, plus he's injury prone too. Sounds like when we signed Simpson last season. |

I’m talking about taking money from a regime with an appalling human rights record. What does that have to do with my views on Town’s transfer budget? I’m sure if someone said to you come work for me for a year in Saudi we will pay for your accommodation ( probs 5 star) and give you 3 or 4 times your salary you wouldn’t turn it down! I know I wouldn’t ! |

he's at the tail end of his career and has been playing at Premier League level throughout it, including captaining one of the top sides for a prolonged period. He's fine for money already, and his kids and grandkids will be too. He also has school age children so is either going to uproot them and move to Saudi or not see them for a prolonged period of time. Neither of which I would personally choose to do for the extra money. Just a shame you don't have the choice eh? |

We're absolutely fine. None of the outgoings particularly weaken us. The positions we need to strengthen have not changed. Striker, creative midfielder. right back? We could probably get by with Pearson and REG but we can't be having Spencer as the only fit player where it's his main position. I hope we don’t use Pearson as a right back again, he looked really uncomfortable there and I don’t think it’s fair on him. Great centre half or right of a back 3. |

My old man gave me (and my sis) the choice, come with him and mam or go to boarding school. Great centre half or right of a back 3. he definitely looked like a centre back out of position, but I thought he was quite effective there. Limited on the ball but defensively really good from that position. Agree he's better on the right of a 3 though- I think that would suit our players better anyway, Nakayama is probably the left footed equivalent, and Headley and Thomas have both been decent as wing backs. |

what we need; Right Back - hopefully someone like Sam Byram Creative Midfidler / no10 if rudoni gets injured - Prem loan that has the quality (like mooy, ESR) Striker- hopefully a striker that we pay money for (decent money) not someone who is 32+ like billy sharp etc I'd suggest we need more than that, but as we're only signing "2 or 3" then those are probably the 3 I'd go for. Only change is I'd swap the midfielder and striker around (and I don't see us paying a fee. Happy with a PL loan up front but would prefer a bit of experience in midfield. With Holmes gone, after Hoggy our oldest midfielder is 23 year old Kasumu. |

Listened to it and yeh decent,few bits to take away. When asked did players have to leave in order to free up wages tje answer was no there is a budget there,but obviously if can get players out that won’t be playing it helps when bringing people in. And the other thing was that at “stage 2” with a couple of the strikers but that still a fair way to go. |

Cartwright interview is a good read, but does he not know we only sign ex players? quick throw him the ex players book.
Ddon't need all that due diliengence stuff, when you sign ex players. How dare he think about doing research into a players character, we don't need that rubbish , just are you free ? or an ex player who isn't getting a kick elsehwere ?
No its great that it seems, town are trying to get a structure to our recuritment, not just the usual. I am glad that Warnock seems to be getting a huge say in this also.

A lot of people would put their morals aside if they were tripling their wages, and especially towards the end of their career. Henderson is on £200k week at Liverpool.....£10m a year......Saudi team are offering him £600k per week......£30m a year Two or three years of that can make a big difference to a lad from the North East I disagree, he's already rich beyond his wildest dreams, smacks of greed if you ask me. He and his family don't need any money, they are set for life for generations to come if they're wise with it. |

When you say anti transgender crusade, is that actually hating trans people or just campaigning for women's rights to not be dismissed to accommodate them, because the two seem to get confused? Anti vaxxers..well its not a view I have any time for really but lots think like that. Presumably if hes skint, hes now been cancelled as a writer for having these 'unnacceptable' views? Shame, I could imagine him writing a good comedy on the subjects. |
