Stop panicking folks.......the window has changed. Theres not much money floating around most of this league (except prem sides coming down whove sold big names) and theres no point spending money on no better than we have. In the next few wks the prem loans start to take shape - blades got mcatee and doyle..... burnley got maatsen, harwood bellis and tella to name but two. We have to trust the new recruitment team and owner to deliver some decent incomings but one advantage will be any striker coming in will play often with us particularly if rhodes goes as well. Whilst I agree with the direction of your sentiment, I don’t think your reading of the market is correct: there is more buoyancy by way of available cash this year than there has been for the last 10. There are significant market players in Stoke, Norwich, Boro, Leicester, Brum, Saints, Leeds…even what we normally comparably consider minnows like Millwall and Cov’ have cash on the hip. And the market isn’t as stagnant as people will have you believe because it’s not all about cash: the average procurement by the championship as of today is 4 players. There’s a considerable gap between us, Leeds and Brom - all on 1 player incoming. And like us, there have been considerable outgoings too; we are by no means an island when you consider the average number of players that have been dropped by most clubs. The Prem’ will undoubtedly stimulate the market closer to the close of the window, but it is by no means slow. The media just wants you to think that so they can sell the transfer window.

Everyone still trusting in Nagle? Two weeks ago there was a guy he questioned the transfer businuess and he got flamed on here. He is looking right. The sarimento signing from west brom and stokes businuess this week was a real gut punch for me. Cardiff also just destroyed everyones ffp arguement. No you're not

We also have a very tough start to the season, look what happened last season. In terms of a bad start , we never recovered, but also we waited up until the end of the summer window last year. Those "we waited to get them" sginings all bombed - Simpson, Mbete and yes Helik worked out, but he took a good few weeks coming back from injury to get upto speed. You could argue our start this year is even tougher than last, i just don't want another catch up season.

Comes across like someone recently banned from here for being a complete tit. I made arguements , you can agree or disagree. Most people here just resort to ad hominens. Im not sure if it is lazyness or lack of intellect. If you read the posts I outlined clubs in worse FFP conditions who have made great signings. You can go check out Kieran Mcguires work if you want more details or souces. Secondly, Im not optimistic about Kev especially after the director of football hire coming from the USL. I am not in the Uk but I didnt know people are so sensitive to different opinions about football. It is tribal but once you resort to ad hominens how is this any different than twitter. @@@ Wingman And no problem man, I dont call anyone names or argue about lgpt flags. Is that why I wont fit in here? Lgpt? That's a new one.

"I've been a lurker for a long time"... then said lurker suddenly posts inflammatory post (rather than easing themselves in gently). Nothing new, we've had these people before... they don't tend to last long. I think my post quality was better than the thread long arguement about LGBT flags lol. And nothing was inflamatory, everyone ganged up on the guy who questioned the transfer policy and since then tons of championship clubs with FFP concerns have made huge moves. No one ganged up on you. You just bored the fuck out of everyone by posting the same thing over and over and over again 🙄

That’s quite the achievement. What i meant was i agree with the paitence approach, but we can be in certain areas of the squad yes for example centre half. But in key areas such as centre forward and creativity in the attacking areas no we can't. If someoen could gaurntee , that due to waiting we are not going to start the season badly i would be fine. But as we can't do that and judging on last year's , then i suppose i expected more from the club to help Warnock and to get it done quicker. I mean he only kept us up , give the fella some respect and get him what he requires ? he isn't asking for the earth , jsut some signings- you know that other clubs are making on a daily basis. We on the other hand have signed a back up keeper. Yet are waiting for what though?

Warnock has performed many miracles in his career, keeping clubs up and getting many clubs promoted, that does not mean he guarantees us safety over a full season. Too many I believe simply think we CANNOT be relegated with Warnock in charge, some think even a relegation battle is impossible with warnock in charge and i think that is a dangerous mindset. He isn't a miracle worker and that means the current squad does need strengthening in a number of areas. Last year we approached the season, after being in the play off final, believing we didn't need any real signings to finish mid table.. look how that turned out. Some people are simply raising their concerns at our lack of transfer activity but most of them, I am sure, appreciate that there is still plenty of time left in the transfer window. So let's wait and see where we are at the end of it. If you question it, your posts are labeled Inflamatory.. It has been a bad window. And everyone here will turn on Warnock once this quad inevitably struggles. What's a polite phrase for travel far and have unrewarding solo sex?

Like Warnock said after Watford, I wish we had 2 or 3 of them.... We’ve got good people in charge now. A good owner, CEO, Sporting Director, manager and back room staff. I personally think they know what they’re doing and trust them to get in who we need, not sign a load of crap for the sake of it. FFP is not an excuse, it’s something we have to abide by to not break the rules and end up with points deductions etc. It’s just where we are, we as fans have to accept that and have a little bit of patience.

Imagine being banned from a forum for being a wum.
Then re registering under a different name to do the exact same thing.
Some sad people around. I actually feel sorry for them if that is their only thing in life that keeps them happy.

I do not live in the uk btw so not sure what you are on about. Not responding to anymore of this weird paranoia.

Ah, we have well and truly reached the bickering and infighting stage of the Transfer Thread...
This is my favourite part of pre-season, give it two weeks and there will be arguments about the starting 11.
Pure DATM classic

He very clearly didn't say that. FWIW you could take out 'significantly' and i'd probably agree with that though. So would the bookies. Bookies odds are not based on probability (at this stage of a season) because there is insufficient and incomplete data. They balance the books to make a margin. As a former accountant Allan, I think you know that whatever stage we're at, bookies have vast resources at their disposable that look at the past, present and the future. Its extremely rare that they have insufficient data to go from. Every signing, change or non change is analysed to the max The outlier we have is Warnock which brings massive unpredictability into the fold. Warnock is a bookies glitch in the system

I’m referring to Callum Lang maybe doing the very same (as was rumoured on here sometime ago) and that Whatmore has fired the starter pistol.

Rinse and repeat a few times to create multiple persona. That’s a lot of effort just to wind up people. How sad.
