I think we’ve got to the stage now that any new signings won’t be starting at Plymouth. Im a believer in the first/next game is as important as any other. I hate it when we start looking ahead at games we could get a result in etc.. There is always the next game is another poor excuse for not being right for the game you just lost. Watching teams resting players for a couple of games then losing their 'banker' always makes me laugh. |

I get a little feeling, that Nagle et all, reckon that Warnock is a magician, he can make water into wine etc. Therefore don't need signing ore much. God knows what the plan will be as and when Warnock leaves. I understand we are under ffp rules, but surely it cannot be this hard to get players in, other clubs are under similar issues, but are getting deals done. If we didn't add anyone before the window shuts (I'm sure we will) we would be absolutely goosed with even the most minor of injury hit seasons. We'd basically need to go a whole season with only a handful of injuries to stand a chance of staying up
I'm sure they all know this and we'll have 3 or 4 signings by the time September rolls around

History tells us that the most successful windows are built on early business. I would love Aaron Ramsey. His technical quality is insane. One of Warnocks best jobs was with Tarabat in qpr. His teams always need a little bit of briliance. I also think grant at Cf was interesting. Cardiff was brought up due to the FFP copers on this forum... What about Stoke? |

So just to clarify, if we don't strengthen significantly, you think we'll be relegated? He very clearly didn't say that. FWIW you could take out 'significantly' and i'd probably agree with that though. So would the bookies. Bookies odds are not based on probability (at this stage of a season) because there is insufficient and incomplete data. They balance the books to make a margin. |

Bet that CB from Birmingham will be glad Simpsons gone. But unless we bring someone with similar attributes we've no striker with pace or power in the squad now. The lack of pace, as a squad, is worrying. My big concern is the lack of real depth of injuries bite. Still time in the window in fairness but if we start off badly, the mutinous voices will get louder. Can I suggest other names to substitute for mutinous? Involving moisture and linen |

Warnock has performed many miracles in his career, keeping clubs up and getting many clubs promoted, that does not mean he guarantees us safety over a full season. Too many I believe simply think we CANNOT be relegated with Warnock in charge, some think even a relegation battle is impossible with warnock in charge and i think that is a dangerous mindset. He isn't a miracle worker and that means the current squad does need strengthening in a number of areas. Last year we approached the season, after being in the play off final, believing we didn't need any real signings to finish mid table.. look how that turned out. Some people are simply raising their concerns at our lack of transfer activity but most of them, I am sure, appreciate that there is still plenty of time left in the transfer window. So let's wait and see where we are at the end of it. |

Stop panicking folks.......the window has changed. Theres not much money floating around most of this league (except prem sides coming down whove sold big names) and theres no point spending money on no better than we have.
In the next few wks the prem loans start to take shape - blades got mcatee and doyle..... burnley got maatsen, harwood bellis and tella to name but two. We have to trust the new recruitment team and owner to deliver some decent incomings but one advantage will be any striker coming in will play often with us particularly if rhodes goes as well.

Im not sure if it is lazyness or lack of intellect. If you read the posts I outlined clubs in worse FFP conditions who have made great signings. You can go check out Kieran Mcguires work if you want more details or souces. Secondly, Im not optimistic about Kev especially after the director of football hire coming from the USL. I am not in the Uk but I didnt know people are so sensitive to different opinions about football.
