Blackburn signed ex town player sondre tronstad This guy was really highly rated when we signed him, and always seemed to do well for the U21s, shame he didn't make it with us. Having Chris Powell as his manager probably never helped, and might just be the case of a player needing a different environment to flourish. Used to watch both Billing and Tronstad when you could watch games at Canalside, he was a very neat and tidy midfield player, liked a tackle and a good engine on him, was very surprised when Town released him.Think he’s been called up and played for the Norwegian ( think) national side, would certainly have been happy to see him sign for Town. |

No chance, why would he sidestep? Unless we sold him for a cash + Wilson type deal, there’s honestly nothing in it for us either. |

Who? Not one of them played a single game at first team level. And, while we're at it, let's include Josh Windass in that list too... |

From memory didn’t Trondstad want to go back to Norway because he was homesick/wanted to be with his girlfriend in Norway or something? Think he left rather than was pushed.

You could argue we pick up too many of these types of player. If we want to push on we can't keep buying players that we hope will improve. We need proven quality, especially in midfield and up top. |

But you said “pity we can’t pick up players like this” . We literally have most windows. Yes that was my point it would be nice to push the boat out a bit more and land some of the players we have been looking at so many end up elsewhere. BTW Toffolo is the only player we have bought and made a small amount on in the last few seasons. |

Callum Lang has 2 years to run on his Wigan deal. Could cost a million to prise him away unless Wigan are in serious financial trouble, (again). Good age and experience though, and adaptable by the sound of it. Never heard of him personally !
