So far his loans to the championship have been very underwhelming. His strike rate at this level is over 1 in 5. Wonder if he can live up to his reputation at Hull?

Alex Gilbert signed for Boro. Quite a coup, that.

Leciester are not fucking around: Winks has signed for ~£10m Coady rumoured for ~£8m Joel Piroe rumoured for ~£10m Winks, Coady & Piroe for selling Maddison is great business, especially as they'll still be in big profit from those deals. 1st away team at Town to be champions 4 years running is a distinct possibility. Signing Danny Ings for £6m now. Christ! Lucky we held onto Ward, Koroma and Ruffels …

Rejected a pretty decent offer at Brentford. Fought off Forest, Sheff Utd and Fulham to sign him. Rumoured interest from other Prem teams and Leicester and Southampton. He’s not played much first team football so far, came off the bench a fair bit as a 18/19 year old on the champ and had a short loan at Swindon, but he’s a real talent - capped at Ireland U21. And £1m for that in this market is peanuts.

Enda Steven’s signed for Stoke.
Weren’t we linked with him earlier on?

Enda Steven’s signed for Stoke. Weren’t we linked with him earlier on? If his wages at Sheffield U are anything near accurate as reported here then I don't think he'd have even been in contention. salarysport.com/football/player/enda-stevens/I don't think we'd offer even half of that tbh.

8million quid for simms is a joke. He should be nothing more than 1-2 million max.

Gykores is going for circa £25m Because he hasn't even played half a season in the champ, he didn't play regular for sunderland. Hardly scored and yes he is young but if i was Town for example, i wouldn't pay anything over 2mil for a guy who could easily fall away. He has skills yes, but his goal record isn't great. Cov a selling a goal machine in this league, he was easily the best cf in the division last year.

Whilst I think £8m is a huge gamble, think he’ll do well this season.

Yet we sold our 2 main assets for a combined 10m.
We are too sentimental at times. LOB alone in the market last season was at least 10m himself.

If an apple is turning bad then get it out. I can’t imagine L’OB downing tools but we should’ve tried to hold out for more. Anyhow, it’s all history now, hardly worked out for us, Toffolo or L’OB so far.

His. If the club don't get the price they are worth then it is tough. A player is happy to sign a long term deal for the money. So a club should be able to wait until an offer that is worth it comes along. Regardless of our situation 12 months ago. 10m for the pair of them was a piss take and the club had mug written all over them.

LOB had a reported release clause of what 13m- we should have made forrest pay it, in regards to Toffolo, he had a year to run on his deal. Therefore either get the value of i would say easily 1-2 million or stick with him and let him go for free. I say this as it would have given us a year to sort out a proper replacement for him.

He could have walked on a free last summer of he hadn't signed that deal - not many footballers in his position would have and I don't blame them either I actually think he showed loyalty so we got a fee. It's a two way thing

I'm amazed by the amounts Coventry and Ipswich seem to be chucking around, I know Cov have just taken a large fee but it's never helped us!
Doesn't look like any of the play off teams are selling their best players and shopping in L1 and 2, no surprises there really, wouldn't want to "do a Huddersfield".

They have owners with a bigger appetite for risk.
