from the bits ive read I get the impression Nagle is going to be a slow burner type owner . I think his priorities are getting the people he wants into position off the pitch firstly , then we might see a bit more ambitious spending on the pitch. So this might well be a season of consolidation..which also ties in with keeping Warnock here another year. From the bits and bats that come out would say thatβs exactly what will be.Probably main reason for warnock on another year, fair chance keeps us comfortable whilst only having to provide him with a few players he wants.Guess maybe if we were to sell anyone might open the door for extra quality to come in possibly later in the window.

Surely you want to read the exact same quotes on a different website though. As many as possible. I really get my kicks from going to the Examiner website where I can read all the same quotes - just spread over 6 articles and hounded by 342 pop ups.Only 342? You must have had a good blocker

Brilliant news and a lovely βgiftβ on the eve of ma birthday weekend ! πΎ πΎ Kevin - Welcome to The one and only HUDDERSFIELD TOWN ! π π But equally we are not Havenβt & Waterlooville either (with the greatest of respect to them obviously) ! Spellcheck of the week award. Not sure about this one gledholt as itβs just a team I hear off in the November and December time draws in the FA Cup - Is it Havint & Waterlooville or perhaps Havant & Waterlooville... If it is the latter The Ants would be a good nickname for them ! π

Went to college in Chichester (near Portsmouth) and it was close enough to Havant that 3 of my classmates were from there. I (like Gledholt) thought the spellchecker had been too eager as usual.

I just hope some fans take on board thst in the first year we will be working under tight financial restraints!! But donβt hold your breath .utt Agree although it would be good if the club can clarify what / why we have financial restrictions this year. I assume it is to do with new owners and making sure we donβt go boom and bust Yes it would be nice if we could at least compete with the likes of Luton (of last season) and Millwall! There are hidden costs we dont see but we've also taken a LOT in transfer fees in the last three seasons which as Phil was at great pains to tell us are paid over a number of years. Hopefully that income means we'd have to spend big to fall foul of FFP. Hoping its just Kevin keeping expectation levels realistic which is very sensible. I think NW would have asked for a decent transfer budget otherwise whats the point in him coming in. He said the squad was unbalanced when he arrived so even with the injured players returning and Thomas it still means he'll be keen to bring at least 3 players in I'd have thought.

Id expect maybe 4 incomings plus hopefully koroma staying. A couple of those will probably be loans from the PL quite late in the window.
Provided we dont have another crippling injury crisis then I dont actually think we need more than that to have a good top half season, maybe even challenging for top 6. Particularly if Warnock can get Sorba back to the player he was first half of 21/22... that would be like another signing.

So we've got to wait until next week for him to speak to the fans and address the media? We've waited months for the takeover to be ratified, it's now FINALLY happened but next week is the most convenient time for him to let us know what the plans are? Most press conferences are done over Zoom nowadays anyway.. What's the plans Kevin? We are not his sole interest in this world he has other commitments too. So next week sounds okay especially as is Friday now.

Thing is it's the expectation that gets to you...you know..'we're only 6 points off 6th place...18 points available if we can only win 5 of those..' .sort of thing... but it would be a nice change..

I am very pleased that the take over has been ratified and we can look to the future.
There is a saying that you only get one chance to make a first impression and Mr Nagle and Jake Edwards have certainly made a good first impression.
While people are understandably clamouring for big plans and cash to be spent I would prefer a clear, cohesive and communicated plan. A plan backed up by a team of capable people who are committed to making HTAFC the best it can be. It is not about the amount of money you have it is about using the amount you have well. There are no guarantees in football but having a plan, identity and good people to deliver gives you a chance.
I have always said that belief costs nothing. My initial impressions of both Mr Nagle and Jake Edwards is that they believe in what is possible at the club. To hear Jake Edwards say that Town has "so much potential" was so encouraging. We shouldn't lose sight of that potential or lack belief in what we can achieve.
In the short term appoint Neil and Ronnie make perfect sense. They understand the league, the club and the players. We may not challenge for top 6, but then again we might. Neil won't have come to pick up a wage and be "average" so I don't expect a relegation battle but I am realistic in knowing a play off challenge would be an exceptional, but not impossible, achievement.
The longer term vision is massively important so I hope the communication that has started with fans continues. I don't see any reason why it won't as Mr Nagle seems to have "got" the ethos and personality of the club already. He knows that this club works best when everyone is aligned. This is a massive opportunity to get everyone pulling in the right direction.
There is no doubt we desperately needed a fresh start, with new faces and new ideas. There was much good stuff in the past but also many mistakes, in no way malicious, I hope those mistakes are learned from.
Although I have been reasonably critical of Dean Hoyle in the the recent past I also know how much good he has done. I hope he enjoys the future and keeps supporting Town (there's no reason not to). If this works out well he'll even more favourably remembered.
This is a proper line in the sand and an new opportunity. As fans we need to be realistic and patient. I don't expect a miraculous turn around in fortunes but I am, at June 23rd 2023, very hopeful of a bright future.
If nothing else Neil and Ronnie are almost guaranteed to make me smile, even if only bemoaning a shocking referee, so for the immediate future that's a good start.

He didn't have yesterday in his diary for the completion of takeover as nobody knew when things would be ratified, so we can't expect him to reorganise an undoubtedly busy schedule at the drop of a hat.

I just need to know the date of Town's friendly against Sacramento Republic in Sacramento. I've already checked flights from New Zealand, Hotels/B&Bs and car hire. I'm locked and loaded Kevin. Just need a date.

The Dean Hoyle Era reaches its end. Quite an adventurous ride! Itβs been a more interesting roller coaster than weβve been used to. Hopefully we can enjoy a few seasons of Championship stability, with an occasional tilt at promotion. But life ainβt that simpleβ¦ Strap yourselves in for the next chapter.

The Dean Hoyle Era reaches its end. Quite an adventurous ride! Yep it certainly was - And Thank You Dean for giving me the pleasure of something I thought Iβd never see - Huddersfield Town in The Premier League ! Town were promoted to The Top League (Division 1 back then) a month before I was born in 1970 but obviously I donβt have any memory of it at all - and while Iβm not exactly an avid fan of that league these days it was still nice to experience it for two seasons... As you say rickstart - Quite an adventurous ride - so if Huddersfield (or West Yorkshire) ever need a rollercoaster adventure park, then Deano would be your man to design it for sure ! π€π’ π

So...Kevin has purchased HTFC through an LLC - "Town FC LLC" - does anyone know what difference this might mean compared to being owned by a Ltd, as we were whilst owned by "Pure Sports Consultancy Ltd".
I *think* an LLC is more akin to the Dean Hoyle approach of an individual owning the football club, rather than a corporation??

Not an expert, but this seems to explain it. legalvision.co.uk/corporations/limited-liability-company/From a quick scan it seems an LLC is a US thing not a UK thing, maybe that's why KN seemingly needed so long for approval? Edit: Think this paragraph is a summation: Key Takeaways There is no such thing as a limited liability company (or LLC) under English and Welsh law. However, the law recognises private companies limited by shares. The biggest benefit to trading through a private company limited by shares is that your liability for the companyβs debts is strictly limited by the amount you have invested in the company in exchange for shares of ownership. Therefore, if something happens and the business cannot pay for its debts, creditors will not come after you in your personal capacity.

Semi interesting that the shares are owned by an American company as it seems when foreigners usually buy football clubs they set up a UK holding company? Would also maybe explain the hold ups. Edit - Beaten to it.

It's registered in California and it used to be the name of a media production company. If you type in Town FC below you'll see a few of their documents (the other guy's name is likely his lawyer). Of note: The Town FC is in relation to an effort to bring women's football to the bay area (not something I'd think nagle would be interested in with his Sacramento ties). Other interesting point is that the name was switched a week before the announced takeover so that was probably part of the bid or agreement process. Link
