I know the guy that co-wrote that. That's pretty cool. Two of my cousins once played in a fairly obscure prog rock band but that's about as close as I am to knowing any successful musicians. |

Personally I couldn’t give two hoots, am I in the minority?

I know the guy that co-wrote that. That's pretty cool. Two of my cousins once played in a fairly obscure prog rock band but that's about as close as I am to knowing any successful musicians. I used to jam with Billy Currie (Ultravox) and a few other local musos, way back in the sixties. We were usually stoned, so it sounded great to us but it was probably an awful cacophony in reality |

I had never heard of Sacramento Republic before KN's takeover but I'm interested in them now as the connection & collaboration between the 2 clubs will only grow stronger while KN owns both teams. Already, we have one of our players in their squad but hopefully, in time, we can get this working both ways. I didn't mean to be rude but I don't understand why you'd come on a thread you had no interest in &, furthermore, tell us by posting you had no interest in it. |

Bet your well happy you didn't win the trip to California to watch a game with Kev & Dave & tell them to shove it, but your entitled to your opinion. My view is the guy who owns the team I've supported since I was old enough to walk also owns Sacramento Republic in USA & I'm more than a little curious to keep an eye on how they are progressing under his ownership.........The thread says what team it's about & no one is forced to read it, I really hope they win tonight for the sake of the guys who are supporting our club whole heartedly, petty not too. |

I never cared about them before, and I don't really pay much attention to their results now.

I never cared about them before, and I don't really pay much attention to their results now. I'm sure that if there are more transfer dealings between the clubs then I'll take a keener eye on them. As it stands, just with Phillips there, it feels like any other loan. Bagged another two this morning in the 1st half, game ended 2-2 then SJE were a goal in front at halfway in ET, but then two in 90 seconds sees Sac into the last eight winning 4-3 AET............Phillips confidence is growing with every game, let's hope when he returns to Town he can take his chance in the 1st team. |

Some dodgy goalkeeping going on from both sides
And I don't think sac would hold their own in the vanarama conference tbh

I think most of us are aware of Kevin's story, which is one you could imagine happening somewhere like Huddersfield, so I think we have a connection there. For me I don't follow Sacremento but I'm always interested in posts regarding them and any highlights I stumble across and I do want them to do well. I think success breeds positivity which breeds success, and we can all use as much of that as we can get. |

One thing I've noticed about Phillips in those highlights & others is that he has a bit of pace which is sadly lacking in most of our forwards. If he can stay fit, he could be a useful option for us next season, having already had experience in L1

You would hope for better defending from your team but I would have been very happy watching a game like that last season. A seven goal cup match where we come back twice from a goal down to win it near the end. Some good fast football there too. Lovely to see Phillips getting hugs at the final whistle, he really played a big part in that. Looks a very happy lad at the moment. I had not realised how big he is, looks like a proper centre forward. Not sure how one of the Sac players ends up with a number 96 on his back though, I wonder if Justasmithers can shed any light on that. |
