While I think he's probably best moving on, I felt he did okay in some of the games he played in COVID, but feel like he's a forward that benefits playing up front with a partner. He didn't strike me as a lone forward. Also, he's from Huddersfield, so instantly there's much more of an affinity to him than the South London or the Stockport contingent we've had coming through the ranks in the last few years. I hope we see a return to having an Academy full of young, local lads, rather than them being bussed in from down South. I hope we see a return to having some competent footballers.

US Open cup quarter final draw gives Sac another home tie, this time against MLS side Seattle Sounders on 9/10 July......Should be a sellout & a winnable game on present form.

They might not be able to host it at home because of the state fair. Edit: Apparently they've now had a change of heart and will allow them to play

They might not be able to host it at home because of the state fair. Maybe they will have to switch it to Seattle who play to a sellout (30k+) every home game..........Although Ed Sheeran holds the attendance record there (just under 80k).

Genuine question this and not wanting to start any arguments, but does anybody on here actually care about Sac Republic? Personally I couldn’t give two hoots, am I in the minority? I watched 20mins of a match (they're live on Youtube), it was like a particularly rubbish pre-season game. There ended my interest.

There have been some mistakes made and we might be down a division but I would take KN over your Glaziers or Ashley's every single day.

They drew with Birmingham today 0-0, moved down to 2nd, won 5, drawn 6, lost zero.

The unbeaten run is over losing 1-0 at home to Tampa Bay Rowdies (KP subbed on 58 mins), Sac remain in 2nd place in the Western Conference league & hope to end a winless run of 4 matches next week at winless in six Monterey Bay.......Quite a few empty seats were on show for the 'Pride night' fixture.

Phillips scores again as Sac Rep beat Monterrey 2-0. A clever little diagonal run & left footed chip over the advancing keeper. Unless both sides were particularly small, he seems to have grown in the Californian sun, I believe he's 6'2 but he looked bigger than that last night.

Kieran Phillips was substituted on 70 minutes with Sacramento trailing 3-0 at home to Oakland (also missed 1st half penalty) & still looking for a home league win since 27th April, they managed to give the scoreline a bit of respectability with two late goals finally defeated 3-2. 4 of the next 5 (including Seattle in USO cup) are at home so they need to find their early season form soon or they will start to slide down the table rapidly..........Winning mentality has disappeared somewhat with only one win in six of the league campaign recently.

KN tweeted his disappointment at last week's home defeat in front of sellout audience, this morning Sac drew 0-0 in Tulsa, Oklahoma......Four games on the bounce in Sacramento coming up which could leave Kev struggling to make the trip to Austria?

I think most of us are struggling to make the trip to Austria due to the lack of information on fixtures out there

Kieran Phillips this week was named the player of the round for his performance in the US Open cup last month, this morning he came on in 71st minute with the score at 0-0 (thanks mainly to mom display from Sac keeper Danny Vitiello) but it was 84th minute sub Herrera who grabbed the winner for Sac with virtually his 1st touch........Maybe not too convincing from SR but at least Kev will be a little happier with a home win at last.

Phillips looked good when he came on. Shot on target from range that Herrera calmly took the rebound. Also dribbled past a few players from the half way line and passed to Jarugui who should of had a tap in. Don't get why he is on the bench ATM maybe Sacramento are saving him for the cup against an MLS team.

The no 10, Parano, had a couple of lovely moments in those highlights & the GK made a couple of great saves, though his positioning does not always look the best.
Nice cameo from Phillips at the end but surprised he squared the chance right at the end, especially after his lovely skill to get there.

Lets hope they fill a few of those empty seats this Wednesday when they play Las Vegas at home in a game dedicated to the military with the annual 'salute to the services' (plus free entry).......Our lot forgot to mention 'Armed forces day' yesterday & D day anniversary earlier in the month, its only one day & not like they go on about it for the whole of June.

He'd heard about Burgzorg's antics and didn't want to face the same criticism. This loan spell will do him a lot of good and hopefully stay injury free, regain dome self confidence and force his way into 1st team plans on his return.

Sacramento Republic 0 Las Vegas Lights 1, mom keeper DV from the last match was beaten by a soft near post shot after 10 mins against 5/1 to win LVL, the 3 subs brought on at half time including Town loanee Kieran Phillips who also got booked later didn't make the impact needed & another home defeat for SR was how it ended......A full house expected for Seattle Sounders cup game next Tuesday & lots of lady luck!
