Sacramento Republic 0 Las Vegas Lights 1, mom keeper DV from the last match was beaten by a soft near post shot after 10 mins against 5/1 to win LVL, the 3 subs brought on at half time including Town loanee Kieran Phillips who also got booked later didn't make the impact needed & another home defeat for SR was how it ended......A full house expected for Seattle Sounders cup game next Tuesday & lots of lady luck! Booked for simulation(diving) Could of been a pen tbf. Teams really missing Roro Lopez Not much creativity other than Gurr crossing the ball Phillips layed up Parano to the center of the 6yard line and he found the stands. Phillips should just shoot because he has made that same pass 2/3 times this season for what should be an easy goal and the guys keep missing.

Indomitable Sacramento bowed out of the US Open cup this morning at the hands of Seattle Sounders, the MLS team raced into a 2-0 lead by half time which was reduced shortly after the break on 49 minutes, Sac huffed & puffed but could not find a leveller for their full house supporters.....Back to the league campaign this Saturday & another home game which coincides with the state fair weekend & the big wedding!

No shame in that defeat, the GK is a real enigma, from the few highlights of games I've seen he's capable of both making some horrendous mistakes and some great stops.

But seen him a few times make questionable runs outside his area. Maybe that's what's stopping him being top grade Mls/European GK. Phillips seemed sluggish this match going off highlights. Maybe the 40degree heat is telling. Can imagine Seattle will have also had his number due to the 4goals in 2 games in the cup.

Are there any watchers of the USL here? If so, it would be interesting to see how that standard of football is compared to football in the UK and where Sac would roughly sit in the UK pyramid.

Not sure what's worse - the defending or the pitch

Not sure what's worse - the defending or the pitch I would like to withdraw my National League statement and replace it with North East Counties Reserve Division

Not sure what's worse - the defending or the pitch I can see the pitch on there (and it's hideous), but I can't see any defending.

Phillips scored 8 in 14games now for Sac 2 against Mls opposition.
Great return... Think 4/5 of those games he played 20/30mins
Be nice to see a young Austerfield loan over there aswell until Xmas and return both for the Xmas period.

Main reason Phillips is there is his injury history.

Just like when we had that young Critchlow and REG.

Sac only play once a week so might do Phillips good coming back from injury I'm America than a loan in the UK where teams play twice weekly.
Teams at lower levels don't have the squad depth so would of been too many games to come back from a hamstring injury or whatever it was

Austerfield is 23 in a few months time. Just like when we had that young Critchlow and REG. I think he will make a player.. one more loan needed though Definitely. He's only been a professional for four years, played six matches and had six loan spells away from the club. There's definitely a player in there and he just needs a chance. I'd argue that he's a bigger prospect than REG was, and he was a great prospect.
