Really good watch. I'm sure there will be lots of ups and downs and positives and negatives but I do get a good feeling about Kevin Nagle. He isn't in this to survive, he is in this to win. This will not be a dull ride.

Don't get me wrong, as a fan any content is good content. But I cannot honestly see a neutral enjoying this, even I'm struggling to keep my eyes open. Each episode has been exactly the same.

This stuff is made for Town fans with relatively limited variety and insight. Any higher end streaming deals would be way bigger and more involved. Totally different proposition.

We have got lucky to end up with someone like Mr Nagle. It may or may not be successful but he'll be giving it a good go and having someone who actually cares about the club as a whole is more than can be said for a lot of owners

Seems genuine

Do you actually give a flying fuck what a "neutral" might think? Efe has a point, as much as I'm enjoying it as a Town fan I can't see much appeal to the casual viewer. Obviously if somewhere like Netflix or Amazon were to take it on, the extra production budget would make it a more appealing product. Though I do think we've probably "missed the boat" on the football documentary trend- if we'd been making one starting from the "Wagner revolution" and covering our (sadly temporary) transformation from perennial strugglers to the Premier League, it'd have had mass-market appeal. Now, everyone's jumped on the football documentary bandwagon and I'm not sure there's quite as much demand for it. That said, I'm enjoying watching it as a Town fan, so I'm looking forward to episode four. By the way, have we managed to work out which of Kevin's supporting cast is "justaguy" yet? My money is on the dude who said he's never owned an English club but played a lot of fantasy football. Not least because he also said "pessimism is the key", which is a very DATM sentiment!

I thought it was turning into the “Four Yorkshiremen” Monty Python sketch at one point, but generally enjoyed it. KN seems a decent bloke. Agree that it probably hasn’t got much wider appeal, although if Netflix got involved they’d probably give Warnock ranting a more prominent role.

Neither me nor efesodje23 said we were "bothered" what others think of us watching it, that isn't even the point being made. I just think this idea that one of the streaming giants would think it worthwhile investing in a Huddersfield Town documentary is a bit far-fetched. Similarly I don't "care" that most of the bands I like would never sell out Wembley Arena, but I understand why they never will.

Until we have a couple of iffy seasons of course. I’m not wanting to turn this into another DH debate, but do you think all those same things were being said a few yrs ago? For clarity I think this bloke seems OK, but it’s always seemed a thankless task to me, when you consider how fickle football supporters are. Anyway, as you were…

The issue with a lot of our fans and this area in general is that we’re permanently depressed. Try and think positively for once. We are an interesting club to study, we are stoic, proud, passionate and by any measure successful for our size. The history and mindset of northern England and how we derive our happiness from football is absolutely interesting to a wider audience. Particularly people who aren’t permanently depressed because they never see the sun.

If this series (or a more professionally-made, higher budget version of it) was to be picked up by Amazon or Netflix, I certainly wouldn't complain... I just don't think it's very likely. I'm more than happy to be proved wrong though.

Still yet to watch anything to do with Town better than the videos Simon Nomington was knocking out in the 1990s.

Interesting they started the video so early in the process. They either record everything or were fairly certain the purchase would progress, or the process would make an interesting video whatever the outcome. Is this just a modern phenomenon?

My old video is gathering dust somewhere up in the loft. Can't watch it with no video player. Does anyone know if you can download it from somewhere? Would love to watch it again. Think there used to be a link on the Town website to download it from somewhere but haven't seen that link for years.

They did say they were already filming a special behind the scene series with it been 10 yrs for Sacramento when this opportunity came up so the carried on filming including this and then I guess when it was all completed edited it just to show the htafc stuff for us .

Unless I'm missing something?

Is that a young Dean Hoyle at 1:45 in the Wembley video?
Probably mentioned on here before if it is…
