We need Captain Picard involved to get the global audience... shame he only gave a shit when we were in the Premier League Sorry that's just not true. As has already been pointed out by multiple others.

Must admit I struggle to see how we'd get Netflix interested. Wrexham have big stars. Sunderland was quite a new thing and a dramatic collapse from a "big" club that had been run by fucking idiots. If it happens, I'll definitely watch because it's my club - but I struggle to see the appeal outside of our fan base. Hope I'm wrong though because it would be class.

Disagree for the following reasons. Traditional English Town with lots of history as well as football. Rugby League for example. Won the English League 3 times in a row and it just happens to by our centenary. Been in PL recently and every year we are either going for promotion or fighting relegation. A owner who also owns a club in America so a documentary about both clubs would seem an option. I am no way saying that we would be anywhere near the top of the Netflicks charts but I do see us a attractive proposition for the documentary makers.

To be fair, I'm not a natural salesman. The number of times I've seen people making a fortune selling stuff that I wouldn't give house room to if it was free.
I probably wouldn't rush to watch a documentary about (say) Preston North End, so a part of me wonders what will hook people to watch our club.
Me? I'd be all over something on Netflix about our club regardless of what it was.
For clarity - I'm not pooh-poohing the idea. I just wonder how it can be done so that it's interesting to people who have no affinity to our club.

I'm happy to hold my hands up to the error- I do indeed feel like a card for questioning Patrick Stewart's commitment to the cause. I'd taken the lack of press interest when we weren't in the PL as a lack of interest on PS's part. We live and learn.

Can anyone remember in the 1980s, Town did a behind the scenes documentary (I use the term loosely) called “Beyond the Touchline”?
I think it was made by Simon Normington (I may be wrong here) and featured Reece Dinsdale - I remember thinking that it was innovative for the time (and was an interesting watch).

A huge factor I think if done right. A proper documentary featuring one of the most famous managers in the game. There'd be a lot of interest among football fans and of course he would make it very entertaining! People like listening to him and would watch because he is in it imo, also an interesting look at how one of the legends of the game operates in his role. Be interesting to know how much filming they're doing.

From a personal viewpoint. I love football related docuseries.
Enjoyed Sunderland till I die. Enjoyed the City, Spurs and Arsenal ones.
Watched the Leeds one too.
If you enjoy the game, the insights at different clubs and the way in which the business side is run really interests me.
Also great to see what goes on, on a daily basis around coaches and players. Regardless of what club, I would always watch it.

The reason that the Amazon/Netflix series on Sunderland,MCFC, Spurs etc were successful and popular is that the cameras had proper access to what goes on behind the scenes and gave a genuine insight to what goes on in a dressing room/boardroom. The Town ones are self produced and so really act as nothing more than a puff piece/PR objective from the owner and his people. I’m not saying that it isn’t professionally done or hasn’t had a few interesting bits but it’s also heavily staged of course to the point where some of the acting wouldn’t have been out of place in Crossroads.
A properly done version akin to those other clubs would certainly be interesting though and as been pointed out Warnock would be a big draw. Such companies would have been more interested in the utter shambles but eventual success of last season mind.

I think it would go down a storm
I have been watching the Wrexham one and it's quite entertaining..but I think they have now arrived in the real world
Maybe they could start with our early history showing the Chapman stuff and triple title wins...and how our then owner spawned a monster in Lufc
God..we're steeped in history...just a handful of clubs with history like ours...a true giant of the game

I can see it now
Black and white drone shot from the m1 closing in on the ground...last of the summer wine tune playing and as we get closer to the ground the picture changes to the 20,s title team and a picture of Herbert Chapman
That's the opening credits sorted lol

The Town one is just a camera crew following Kev round during his in no way staged meetings with his people. Perhaps the Town one will get more interesting and include some proper stuff about what’s going on in Huddersfield, but no sign yet.

I’m hoping they have hours of footage available that just needs producing. What we’ve seen so far seems to be stuff they have gone back to stage having decided that they’re going to do a documentary. Anything from last season filmed live will be very watchable, especially when the miracle starts to unfold and Neil and Ronnie start to work their magic.

Whilst I agree these videos to date have been pretty much stage managed they do give some insight into the takeover and KN. Far better than nothing and a base going forward. I suspect they may also be some form of promotional video for companies like Netflix to show we are worth a punt with them.

The Sunderland ones and others haven't had the storyline. This one had the greatest escape. No other team has ever escaped from the position we were in. That's worth the story line. We also have Neil who is charismatic and everyone loves his own PR events. It would be awesome. I also suspect that they've released a few to show potential and that there's tonnes of footage ready for a company to come and buy.
