Entirely predictable following on from a terrible preseason of zero activity. If Pearson is injured who replaces him? Is it ok that we’ve off loaded Boyle now? Considering Pearson and Boyle played slightly different positions then the link is tenuous. We have Yuta to come in, Headley can slot into LB/LWB and allow Yuta to play CB. Boyle wouldn’t have done any better today as he had the pace of a sloth on smack.

What do you know or care? I was right about Mumba. Did you see him today or did you not watch the match? Yes, but I suspect that Mumba will have cost £25m +. Oh, hang on...

Sounds like Rhodes could be going. If he’s still here come 1/9/23 then we need to bring him in from the cold as his experience may be useful until Jan at least.

I thought that too, before his little holiday in Blackburn Thomas would deliver his corners with real whip and pace but too many were just floated in today. He may have been suffering from wind. One in the first when he kicked it for a deadball, this lad talks the talk but where's the walk, looks like the same old Sobra is back without clout. Come on Sobra where are you man?

What do you know or care? Rather harsh. Bite your tongue, please. It was a simple question. I've seen nothing but negativity from that poster unless I'm getting totally crossed wires, so I guess there is split opinion here as to whether a WUM or not. I apologise if I'm way off. Also in response to their last comment I wasn't there, but that has nothing to do with my comment.

Just seen the second and third goals. Fuck me rigid. No challenge for the second and one pass for the third. What do they actually do in pre season? We used to play teams that would be more competitive in the friendlies back in the day. Also the last two games were when the first team team played together. It does not appear to be the case anymore.

When we lost in the PL at Watford in October 2018, we conceded two goals in the first 20-odd minutes to individual, unchallenged runs like the second goal today, with Durm, Zanka, Schindler, Lowe, Mooy, Hogg and Billing on the pitch. I don't remember seeing one (for or against) since, until today, which doesn't mean that there haven't been any. The one today was a total bloody shock, seemingly out of nowhere, from a team that looked like it was hanging on. Had they had a shot on target after the first goal? Perhaps one, first half. At 70 minutes I thought only one team would win it and I'd have been disappointed with a draw. At that point were all the naysayers anticipating what then happened? Did you see it coming, because I fucking didn't?

Poor defending in difficult conditions cost us. 3 poor goals which is not like us, certainly not the team who fought and beat some very good teams back end of last season.
Warnock will have some thinking to do. I still hope we get some reinforcements before September.

Personally I think that Plymouth will be right in the mix for relegation. Only time I’ve seen them and so a one game sample probably isn’t fair but they did not look a side that will be comfortable. We actually looked the better team for much of the game, which to me, indicates that Plymouth will struggle. Mumba looks a really good player but the defending for his goal was just schoolboy at best. In fact, all 3 goals were awful, Nicholls massively at fault (twice) for the first & a flat-footed, slow defence highlighted for the 3rd. How can people not see that REG should be nowhere near a Championship team, at FB, CB or DCM? Edwards has a decent throw but if he can't defend better than that, he's just not worth his place, let's hope it's just rustiness. Diarra is so frustrating, you don't know what you're going to get, he goes from the sublime to the ridiculous, but should be used as an impact sub. Koroma really poor, Sorba still making stupid challenges when we are in an attacking position. How can Hudlin not get onto the pitch after his pre-season, while Ward, yet again, offered nothing? I thought we'd win comfortably at half time, the wind was so strong but instead of shooting from distance with that wind behind us, we offered f all. Very disappointing, but all too predictable. Plymouth may well struggle, but they beat us 3-1, what is your prediction for Town? I ask as some have said that despite all the players that have left we have as strong a first eleven as last year.

New season, same old feeling of dejection on a Saturday afternoon. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter how you play or what chances you miss, if you gift them goals with defending like we did then you won’t win any match.
After the first 15 minutes they were there for the taking and looked very poor until we decided to let a player just run past goodness knows how many of ours without a challenge being put in. Then we just lost the plot.
I’m very disappointed that a team under warnock can defend like we did especially with a full pre season. We were so solid after he had a few games with them last season and that was why we stayed up.
I can’t take another year like last. It’s a long way to go and there will be no panic, but we desperately need players. Diarra, REG, Ruffels are players you were hoping would be just there for squad depth, not starting. Looks like we are going to need more warnock magic again, that’s for sure.

We didnt look the better team at all. We had our moments of pressure like you do in most games. But to say we were overall the better team is disrespectful to Plymouth.

Well the chickens have well and truly come home to roost today for those happy clappers. Absolutely shocking performance and result. Hopefully a wake up call to Nagle that the first team isn’t anywhere near championship quality - fuck these imaginary restrictions and let’s act like we belong in this division. Ward isn’t fit for a league 2 side - absolute joke he’s starting up front. We knew we needed a hogg replacement and we fucked that too. Soft as shite midfield. Headless chicken Kasumu won’t improve things either. That bench🤬Appalling start to the season. Last season was shite enough and fans deserve much much better

After match players staff going down tunnel fans shouting to Ronnie to sort them out he replied and said that was shit he looked angry. Soon as sorba let the guy run 25yrds I said to guy next to me he's off Warnock was fuming on side line After equalizer only one team going to win so I thought Problems Pearson injured hope not long term No midfield Sorba soft as shit Reg should be nowhere near the side wouldn't get a game at golcar Ward been Warnocks son. Hudlin should have come on especially with the wind Lot to improve on Main positive hogg And don't need to travel back till next week

O'Brien would have played with a cigar in his gob against these today. A loan signing of his ilk is desperatley needed! I know that we need strengthening, but expecting LOB quality may be a hope too far.

A fairly predictable result for me. We all knew we’d struggle (again) this season without at least a different option up front together with a player who can actually create something in midfield. We all know what is needed and some fresh blood is urgently needed. Cannot see us getting anything from next week’s game as it stands either. Still hopeful Warnock can make wine out of water again this season but today was not a good start.

If we had taken those 4 very good chances we wouldn't be calling this team. The problem is we don't take our guilt edge chances. Ward, Rudini, Diarra, Korona, have I missed some? Very amateur finishing not to mention the non-midfield strength and poor defending when they just ran at us but that all started with the piss poor midfield. NW knows what to do, bench some of these players get Jones, Jackson Headley and co in for the next game

Even warnock won't get a tune out of this lot. REG is atrocious and Diarra looked like a little boy having a kick about with some older lads.
Our usually solid defence was crap and we desperately missed any kind of flair or grit in midfield.
Plymouth looked crap aswell. Oh dear

It’s one game in bad weather however the defending was shambolic no fight or organisation. We need leaders on that pitch quickly It’s going to be a tough season another relegation battle I have resigned myself to that a few weeks ago. I do trust Big kev and the long term strategy we just have to be patient and hope we get some luck on the way.
