Thats rubbish. hes probably our most saleable asset and if we were to sell we'd make a huge profit on him with loads of clubs in this division competing for him. He already looks a very good championship player and will only improve over the next 2 or 3 years. At the moment he has similar failings in his game as Obrien did..finishing..end product,, but his workrate and energy is on a par with LOB and technically id say hes better. he also never hides and he gets in the positions to miss the chances at least...and still younger than LOB was when we cashed in for £8m. sorry Captain but I completely disagree with you. Put your beer down and sober up. Complete garbage.

It’s funny how views can differ. I see nothing similar between O’Brien and Rudoni. I’ve struggled to warm to his style of play since he signed but I see every other week how he’s some kind of future star. Rudoni reminds me of Tom ince in the sense of him working hard but for no real outcome. I just think he’s one of the many players in the squad who hasn’t got a football brain. O’Brien on the other hand played well all over the pitch and rarely went unnoticed. It’s all about mentality for me.

I think Rudoni is almost the complete article and a damn sight better than most 22 year olds at this level. He can be so frustrating in the final third, but his sense of space and off the ball work are both brilliant. If he scored even 1 in 3 of his big chances missed this season, he'd be on 10 goals or more.
Even in a poor team where he's missed a hatful of chances, he's still scored 5 goals this season which, in spite of how many he should've had, is a decent return for a midfielder, more than players like Mooy or Palmer ever managed. Sinani only got 6 in a side that scored heaps more, and he was effectively a forward.

Getting goals in back to back games would be massive for him. Think back to before his injury where he was taking his chances and arguably our best and most important player at the time where he could be trusted to get an 8 out of 10 most games. Can be frustrating but would be top end Championship at least if he was prolific

To even remotely compare Rudoni to LOB is an outrageous distortion. Obrien was a top 3 championship player that season. Rudoni isn’t top 20. He is levels above Rudoni What a daft way of rating a player. Not as an individual but by the side theyre playing in?

Rudoni will have a better career than obrien, and I was an obrien fan
Something tells me it will really click with Rudoni

One thing for sure, he will play a massive part in the run in. I hope we can keep him fit, as he is one of the key players in the squad.

I’m not a fan, he’s not quick enough , not aggressive in the tackle and doesn’t win headers , his shooting is embarrassing for an attacking midfielder. He does work hard in defence and covers a lot of ground and intercepts quite well but last 2 seasons he’s been a main part of the midfield that has really struggled at this level. If the club are serious about what they say then this area of the pitch will need some better quality adding to it

If we had the option now to do a straight swap, Rudi for O'Brien - I wouldn't take it.
Rudi may not be as good as Lewis yet but his potential looks higher.
Not sure they're that similar though. I'd have them both in the team.

Rudoni will have a better career than obrien, and I was an obrien fan Something tells me it will really click with Rudoni It will click when he finally remembers how to hit the ball cleanly. Almost every time he comes to the final pass or shot, he manages to scuff or mis-hit it. It is bizarre the number of times he does it. It seems deliberate, as though he's trying to hit it with side or swerve like a snooker shot - but getting it wrong. I can't believe he hit the ball like this before he came to us. He scored quite a few goals and had a number of assists. We are playing him a bit deeper, but he's missed a large number of chances for us - although not on his own with that!

He's definitely got the qualities, I don't think I've seen a Town player hit a ball as sweetly as that since perhaps Mbenza slamming a goal in. (the unconventional flick at the corner that follows is very different and about as good an attempt as you could realistically expect in that position too - some brilliant movement to earn the chance if you watch through to the goal line slo-mo camera - if Meslier comes out to join the crowd like he'd normally do, thats a goal). He's bagged 5 goals which could easily have been 7-10....only Helik and Burgzorg have scored more than him so far this season, I think if we want to worry about goal scoring its elsewhere where the real problems are.

He's very involved with a lot of good stuff we do but the output is poor. Always appears to be one of our better players without assisting or scoring regularly. Is there an opportunity cost in that without him we may produce more. I've no idea, probably not but makes you wonder. He's becoming very frustrating to watch because it just feels like nothing he tries actually comes off when it really matters. As opposed to the zorg who seems to be able to produce goals out of nothing in and amongst his infective bits. I seem to remember Chris Brandon being similar in that he always looked decent and one of our better players but rarely scored or assisted. Rudoni is obviously a different type of player and sees a lot more of the ball.

He'd get in most Championship sides and is easily in our best 5 players. He should be finishing off his chances better but his positioning in these situations are great and did really well to take the ball past the defender for his chance and is pivotal in getting us up the pitch. Not yet the finished article but wouldn't be at Town if he was.

woeful again today. scuffed his chance again too
Scary how bad he is in attacking positions. I'll say it again, Sinani was far better

I’ll admit I’m a Rudoni hater but there’s only so long he can avoid criticism. Not just him to be fair but in his position you have to be noticed and make an impact.

Running around, getting involved and looking good on the ball isn't going to keep us in the league.

Needs to be dropped back into central midfield, not attacking midfield...can't believe how absolutely useless he is at shooting, so keep him well away from the attack...

He's a good ball winner/carrier, but that's it. Decision making, shooting, and (most of the time) passing, all gash.

Going backwards at a time when we need him to step up.
He reminds me of RVLP when his head falls off in the final 3rd and his shooting is fucking atrocious.

League 1 standard at best. Temperament every bit as talent in the championship & he clearly lacks the composure to finish fairly easy chances. Not asking him to score worldies just score the tap ins he often gets presented with. Thats rubbish. hes probably our most saleable asset and if we were to sell we'd make a huge profit on him with loads of clubs in this division competing for him. Totally right Cap'n. I wish all Town's other midfielders eg Kasumu, Wiles were judged by the same criteria Rudoni is. For example Kasumu cannot shoot/create/ pass forward/dominate midfield, he is just a "spoiler" but the bar for judging him is way lower than that for Rudoni

Nobody has ever mentioned kasumu being amazing. Wiles has gotten a lot of criticism. The fans of rudoni have put the target on his back by hyping him up so much I think.

Disagree , I don't think he is anywhere near as good as O'Brien , he doesn't get us up the pitch , he can't travel anywhere near as good as Lewis could with the ball and he isn't involved in the game anything like as much. I am and still want to be a Rudhoni fan but he is not progressing , he fails on the last deliveries and is not as involved in a game as he should be ......and as far as his aspirations for the premier league he needs to concentrate on the championship first off cause right now he is ordinary at best.
