In recent history we've scored some crackers against West Brom. Curling 25 yarder from VLP, Mounie blast, Tino last season and the two strikes yesterday 👊 Tom Cowan scored a peach there many years ago. Thunderbastard right into the top corner. My only visit to the Hawthorns, a terrific 1-0 win.Edit - correction! A 1-1 draw, 12 Oct 1996

I find the hate for Corberan very strange. A man, who if fat John Moss wasn’t such a card, may very well have taken us to the prem. It is strange, but then again there are a lot strange folk on here.

Corberan is still a fucking wanker no matter how much you all try and blow smoke up his arse. Give me Neil Warnock ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. A manager that has actually achieved some success with the club, and then came back to save us, putting him even higher than he already was in the eyes of Town fans. And a manager that outwitted the so-called "top class coach" and supposedly "one of our greatest ever managers" yesterday. Nice wording...fully agree 👍

Can I apologise for my part in triggering this now pointless argument about CC. Apology accepted - think we should be ok now as I’m sure it’s lights out and doors locked at 10pm on a Sunday.

He had no right to make a logical decision about Town's owners' financial capacity for retaining better quality players and signing players who would have increased the club's prospects, after a very difficult financial period, not to mention, 'cough', other things that happened in the wider world. The man is obviously a bounder.

I'd be careful what they wished for! Took them from bottom in October to within a game of the playoffs! Started this season reasonably under the threat of financial trouble with all the squad up for sale in the transfer window! Given all this, who else could do a better job? Whilst we may not like Cc for what he did to us, he is a v good manager at this level IMO! Coventry were below them & did make the play offs, 52 points from 30 games (90 points) maybe should have done better with squad available to him.....Warnock's record; 25 points from 15 games (very similar), Robins next up for a revenge beating from the maestro. And how many rated Robins when he was our manager 🤔

Why do you think Pipa, O'Brien & Toffolo were all forced out?.....Along with CC they all wanted to work for Stavros for whatever reason (ka-ching) & no one was pushed or asked to leave Town.

Corberon was a brilliant manager for Town. You couldn't get a starker contrast with the two hopeless fuckwits that followed him. The manner of his leaving almost completely wrecked last season, but still I'd rather have a brilliant manager with a volatile temperament who walks than another card like Fotheringham stealing a wage from the club.

Why do you think O'B wouldn't entertain coming back on loan ? I know what I was told by someone at the club. Plus would you want to put £10m of your own brass in or sell something to bring in that money.

No other clubs seemed interested & Forest wanted him out pdq, even Blackburn left it till after midnight to show any. The last club in the world Town wanted O'B to go to was Forest, if a sale sign had been stuck on him then Palace, L33ds & others would probably have made bids.....It was his/agents choice & a bad one at that.

"Yes but we lost 4-0 at home to Bournemouth" I hear his detractors say. The same Bournemouth that pissed promotion that year.

Doubt Hoyle sacking his staff in the summer before helped Who was that then? Sacked his assistant manager and first team coach in the Summer and hoisted Steve Thompson onto him. Robins walked after the first game and Thompson lasted about three games under Powell before being paid off. I've also thought Hoyle chucked Robins under the bus in that respect, and Hoyle basically admitted as much himself later on.

Steve Taylor did initially work with Robins but had to leave his role after collapsing at the training ground with a bleed on the brain.

And then got tapped up by the Forest owner and left us right in the shit on the eve of a new season. Citing some lack of investment bullshit. Oh and we backed him when so many clubs would have sacked him with his diabolical record to start with. So forgive me for not joining you in the Corberan fan club / appreciation society. I have no idea how there are any members. But clearly you are. Calm down petal. I was merely stating a fact that had he stayed, we wouldn't have been fighting relegation. And the 'lack of investment bullshit', wasn't bullshit. Infact it's the same reason Warnock will probably walk, except if he does, I highly doubt he will come in for the same mindless vitriol as CC. Make your point by all means, any need for the childish ‘petal’?. I will let you decide. Either way, I have no idea why I have owed you the courtesy of a response.
