it is not Sorbas fault he and many others have been allowed to act like they have, it’s really not their fault it that of the manager that has started this off. By the way I think Sorba has been one of our better performers most of this season but it is a low bar. We were so unprofessional from the moment NW walked into the door, he was great at first as he gave the players time off and let them feel loved and relaxed this was great as it galvanised them and was the exact opposite to what we had before, unfortunately the summer nothing changed and we were too casual with no rules, no discipline and this has continued all season. The players have got away with too much for too long, a clear set of rules and knowing what is expected of them needs to be set out this summer. These are highly paid professionals and they need to act like it has been like a bit of fun to many of them. Anyone who does not accept the new “code of conduct” can leave the club. I am quite sure if someone had installed discipline and fitness to this group in preseason we would have seen better performances and better results. All players should be expected to train for a set amount of time per day and be in the club early until late, all players should know fully what is expected from them and be told before even signing on. If the rules are set out in advance and the performances / results improve the majority will accept this and actually begin to embrace it, the manager would give them time off and so called treats now and again if the results are good these little bonuses then have a much better effect than just making it the norm no matter how you perform in your job. It’s a culture that needs changing, its not easy but it is possible, get a few more with the right character and others will follow. I am very much saying its NWs fault here and although I do think he has a massive part to play, so do many others including Mr Nagle for employing him in the summer, no one person is to blame it’s a combination of people and everything needs to improve to get us back to where we want to be. NW has a way of doing things that's almost unique - but clearly it worked last year. The idiocy here was saying he's having another year with no intention of letting him see it out - and then appointing mgrs who we were all told play on the front foot without any players to do so cos we hadnt recruited players who could. NW had success sitting in and counterattacking with energy, pace and being direct. The decision making has been appalling really - i have no great love for AB based on what ive seen...............but hes worked with a squad patently unfit for purpose and clearly many heading for pastures new and all this after the DM debacle appointment. That makes it hugely difficult and you can see hes had enough. If he stays we have to back him.............if not then ffs do the due diligence right. Dont get a mgr in who plays this way or that way per se - get one who knows what he has, what he needs to improve and how he's going to do it. Big summer coming up. Twas ever thus - UTT.

I'm visualising Diarra getting a round of drinks in, wobbling around a few pissed punters and pushing his way through but still somehow managing to balance the tray, going back round all the pissed punters for some reason, getting within a yard of the table; and then collapsing on the floor, drinks everywhere. Back to the bar. Repeat.

I’ll mention the anecdote from many yrs back that I’ll have posted on here somewhere before. A young bloke in the office who prided himself on being a film buff. We were chatting about cult films, classics from the 70’s & 80’s. Rita, Sue & Bob too someone piped up. This bloke with a slightly puzzled face. “Can’t recall seeing the first one?” Suffice to say he was never allowed to forget that one… 😂😂😂

Are you just having an understandable dig at our strikers or are you insinuating that someone's post is not valid because they don't spend every minute of every day posting on DATM?

What AB should have done is to publicly name and shame the culprits and he should have played them all at Ipswich so the Town fans can thank them for the full 90 minutes. I remember a similar thing back in the 70a when we had a player called Terry Dolan. Not sure what he did wrong as I was only a kid at the time but I do remember many chants of fcuk off Dolan, fcuk off Dolan!

Unless he's been influenced by the others? I'd be disappointed if Headley is one The academy talked a lot about finding players with the right character. Camara downed tools last year. Diarra downed tools this year. Headley as well maybe now being left out Harratt also with his Hare coursing and betting issues Also been questions with Rowe as well - talent never in question Also saw another member of the current B team (not naming him) jump the turnstiles at King’s Cross train station Not great - none of those have achieved anything and really owe the club for taking a punt on them as 16 year olds who'd been released and missed by other clubs If you have talent but just want to walk on a free after you've played 20 games then what's the point

Should also be noted for those that did not listen to the press conference that Maxwell in for Nicholls today is not behaviour/attitude related.

Was always a risk doing it like we did. But you had to have the process and checks in place. A lot used to sit up in the FM and laugh and mock some of the players pretty evident on there attitude, just looked and acted unprofessional.

Headley is a very surprising one. Until his time at Harrogate he wasn't even on the radar, 2 seasons ago he couldn't get any games at Yeovil at the bottom of the national league, and within a year he was starting for us. He's also been one of the only players who's actually improved this season, his defending has got heaps better. These two things aren't usually the hallmark of someone with a bad attitude. All I can think of is that he broke into the first team when training was very lax, so is likely to prefer leaving early

You could stretch it out further Sorba was signed for the B Team initially. I personally like Thomas and have no grudges to him but he sounds a tricky character to manage Jon Russell was another signed to the B team. Clearly showed talent two years ago and then something went wrong with the contract talks and he seemed to lose interest too quickly As you say attitude is a big part of it. We've all seen quality young players like Leon Knight or John McAliskey blow it because despite having lots of talent they had the wrong attitude

Would not be fussed in the slightest if he left and if we got a decent sum for him even better! Mooy on the other hand is about as far away from the majority of this current shower of …. In attitude and talent that you can find at this level.

Unless he's been influenced by the others? I think this is a big factor. There’s undoubtedly a number of genuine ball bags in the squad but I think there’s then probably some who would be fine if we had a mainly professional set of players leading the squad then they’d slot in line but they’ve fallen in with the wrong crowd as the ballbags have taken over. I think it’s clear we’ve got 2 factions and very little common ground between the two.
