A question. If Warnock hadn't signed on to be a short term manager. Would people have been disappointed if we'd appointed Moore straight after Wednesday got rid of him?
I don't think I would have been. Even given Wednesday's poor form in the last few weeks of the season.

I am actually starting to get really worried that there is something in this. Please can somebody tell me it's not happening, please. Why worried, he has a good record who did you honestly expect us to get ? NW had to go (relationship was finished) and we have very few options much prefer Moore to any of the below Nathan Jones, Mark Hughes, Paul Ince, Steve Bruce, Wilder, Leam Richardson, Jojanovic, Jill Ellis, I also prefer him to some of the below who were also never realistic for us to get Lampard (prefer Moore) Rooney (prefer Moore for a manager, Rooney for the extra profile) Potter (some people live in a different world) Scott Parker (prefer Moore) Heckingbotham We have just shown Neil Warnock the door, whoever was lined up to make this ridiculous decision needed to be quite some coup. One of those appointments where the footballing world takes note. But no, Darren Moore (if it is him and I have to remain convinced it simply cannot be). And it was great even on this forum for a while with us all generally pulling in the same direction. Look at what the Club has done?, created disharmony and anger amongst the very support they claim to value. This is going to run and run. I had just started to get used to watching good / entertaining football for a nice change. The football he serves up is dire. Ah well, the post-match pub will be getting plenty more of my trade from about 16:20.

If it is Moore he comes across as a decent sensible bloke - is he a good manager? Time will tell. One positive to potentially grip onto, didn't he leave the massive after not being backed? In which case you could assume he is going to be backed, or at least to a level he thinks he can work with. Another positive, he left after being successful in his last job. To that end his career is on an upward trend. Am I excited (if it is him)? I am ambivalent and will hope he gets the team playing well and is supported (by Mr Nagle). Didn't he leave because he wanted his wage quadrupling after blowing automatic promotion and fluking the play offs, with the help of big club VAR.

For all those who aren't happy with Moore, can I ask why? I don't know enough about him clearly. Is it simply because why would you ditch Warnock for him? Because obviously you wouldn't do that. Or are there other issues? All I know is that he was immensely popular everywhere he's been The issue is, why ditch Warnock for Moore. Warnock must have walked then??

Interesting that the poster who so vehemently against anyone that dared to question Mark Fotheringham is so against the appointment of an experienced manager in Darren Moore.
Baffling.

My worry is it isn't Darren Moore, but when the new incumbent is revealed.....we wish it was!

I bet that took some negotiations to land him. He'll be laughing his cock off. Fucking clueless appointment if true. The jury is still out on the new owner & his overpaid advisors. I'll watch with anticipation on the envitable future cock ups & cheap talk.

If it is indeed Darren moore he might turn out to be a successfull appointment. Hopefully, as mentioned a couple of times earlier he has done OK at West Brom, Doncaster & Sheff Wed.

I'll be happy with Moore as long as the club back him, if and when we can spend some money

Don't get why people are moaning if it ends up being Moore. The fact is, we have got rid of Warnock, done and dusted... Can't be changed So who would people rather have that's realistic? In no world could we ever get someone like Potter. Why anyone would want Rooney or Lampard (also unrealistic) over Moore suprises me. For me Moore is the sort of person we'd be looking at and ticks a lot of boxes whilst giving us a bit of stability still. (Premier league in 3 years though? Very strange comment to make multiple times in the presser haha) Feels like dad’s left his wife to shack up with the pretty dull woman who worked at the Coop but did a reasonable job of raising her kids. Now we are expected to call her ‘mum’ and forget about the woman we all loved and were actually happy to have tucking us into bed each night. ‘I had to move quick as Derek from the garage was eyeing her up’ dad says. I thought I’d at least get one more Christmas, mum says, with tears in her eyes. From her hostel. I just want Neal back 😩 You love Colin so much you spelt his name wrong Brilliant post otherwise

Whatever the club say it’s clear the lack of backing in the transfer window and the tweet from Nagle (Warnock’s response as well) is the true reason as to why Warnock Is leaving.
Warnock has obviously been paid/told to keep his mouth shut on the real reason. He has, however , laid it on thick that this squad could challenge for the play-offs. Clever. It means Moore fails if he doesn’t achieve that or nearly that. Americans don’t like being told what to do, especially when it’s their money. Good luck to Moore if it is him. Wednesday fans were in meltdown when he was fired. Clear only to those who think Colin is lying!

Who remembers the reaction when we sacked Cowley and hired Corberan? We were was almost unanimous that Town had taken an unnecessary risk, moved too soon, and sacrificed much needed stability. Let's hope the lightning strikes us twice. there was a similar reaction from some when we sacked Powell for an unknown from a German B-team.

WOW....
Shambles. That's an utterly ridiculous appointment.
Took Wednesday down from this league last season and slated by the fans unanimously on owlstalk.
We traded in Warnock so that we could secure DM?!!!!!
I'm actually really angry at this.
First the failed transfer window, now this. That's 2 our of 2 you've failed at Nagle!!!!!

Can’t deny I’m slightly underwhelmed but interested to see what he can do with us. I think a man manager was crucial for the next appointment to continue NW’s work so in that respect it could’ve been worse.
And he’s not Nathan Jones so that’s a plus.

Given some of the reaction on here you'd think we've publicly executed Warnock on the steps of Castle Hill & announced Ian Holloway as god emperor of the club.
Some of you need to get a grip.
