If Moore had been appointed in the summer everyone would have said fair enough..
But to bin Warnock now for him seems a ridiculous decision..
And a huge disappointment..
All very weird..

Think you will find he got them promoted last season! By the skin of their teeth, while we were winning at Watford & Millwall etc, they embarrassing at Forest Green & Burton Albion etc......Under a Moore's meltdown, is he over it? Did they get promoted?

Nothing personally against Moore, but if Warnock isn't retiring they should have kept him. Strange ! When he says he isnt retiring he means he'll be prepared to go to some struggling club next February and get them out of the shit. he doesnt mean he wants to be a permanent manager here or anywhere else. Do people really think new owners are going to come in, set up a new board of directors, then reject their manager of choice so they can carry on with a 74 year old temporary manager for a few weeks longer? It's like half the board has forgotten that he's almost 75.

All very weird.. 🍻🍻 What is weird or ridiculous about appointing the manager you've decided is the man you want to manage the club for the long term? You dont think it would be weird or ridiculous to NOT appoint the man you've decided is your long term manager and instead keep the temporary manager you know doesnt want to stay very long?

But he DID get them promoted in one of the toughest league 1 seasons ever. They finished on 96 points which, in literally every other league 1 season, would have been enough for automatic promotion. He didn't have money to spend there either yet still picked the club up off the floor and got them back to the championship.

No idea on his style of football, but I've seen some people talking about how 'dire' the football is under Moore.
I don't want to see us playing head tennis or launching it at the centre backs. But if he's the continuity candidate to continue how Warnock has had us playing this season I'd be all for that:
- getting it in behind the opposition's defence and getting us out of our half - counter attacking with pace & playing it forward - getting 3/4 men in the box for crosses
He must surely have seen some of our games and know where our strengths are. Keep it going whilst putting in more long term plans.
And get Nakayama in the team.

If this is the case then all the talk about Warnock were lies. This guy has been available for some time and could have come in immediately after his release by SWFC if this is the case. This is either a red herring to put us off the scent or it is a panic appointment to pacify the fans by next Monday. Of course if Mr Moore becomes the next manager then good luck to him because he will need it. These new owners do not take prisoners and if he upsets the 'gang leader' in the good ole US of A then he will be gone irrespective of league position. ... And by the way there is no money for a striker before you start campaigning for one!

Theyve forgotten that. theyve forgotten that he doesnt want to be here much longer,.. because hes nearly 75 and lives in Devon And theyve managed to convince themselves that he is all the worlds best managers rolled up into one supreme being of management brilliance and is practically irreplaceable as a result. This sites hilarious today!

2023/24 Huddersfield Town, Championship , Took over from legendary manager Neil Warnock with the terriers flying high, Lost his first 12 games and was sacked before Christmas. Huddersfield go down. Flying high? We're 17th after beating a really poor Rotherham at home who hadnt won away for ages. God there some fucking prima donnas on here! Hysterical man-tantrums all over the place! Shouldn't that be mantrums 🤔

But if it all goes tits up and we end up in another relegation struggle, someone has to carry the can (as the Americans like to say).

For those that are so against this new manager. Take a minute to look at this record and ask yourself why you're so against it? 2017/18 – West Brom. Premier League. Took over from Pardew on 2 April with them 10 points from safety. Went unbeaten in April, beat Man United away, won PL manager of the month. West Brom get relegated still. 2018/19 – West Brom. Championship. 4th in the league with 10 games left. Gets sacked. West Brom go on to lose in play offs. 2019/20 – Doncaster. League 1. Season gets stopped early due to Covid. Donny miss out on play offs narrowly on points per game. 2020/21 – Doncaster. League 1. Wins manager of the month in September and January. Win every single game in January. Gets headhunted for Sheff Weds. 2020/21 – Sheff Wed – Champ. Takes over in March with Wednesday in relegation zone. Misses a number of games due to getting Covid, and then pneumonia. Wednesday go down. 2021/22 – Sheff Wed – League 1. Great finish to the season taking 16 points from 21 to get Wednesday to 85 points and in the play offs. Lose over 2 legs to Sunderland. 2022/23 – Sheff Wed – League 1. 20 games unbeaten. Sheff Wed tail off at the end of the season but finish on 96 points. Highest ever points tally in EFL to not get promotion. Come back from 4-0 down in play offs. Win at Wembley. 2023/24 Huddersfield Town, Championship , Took over from legendary manager Neil Warnock with the terriers flying high, Lost his first 12 games and was sacked before Christmas. Huddersfield go down. Bit negative that, that isn't a bad record at all, it's all pure speculation isn't it that it's him taking over at the end of the day.

2 of them were relegated under him. Anyone would think Warnock has never been relegated before. With 2/3rds of the teams he's managed ? It just strikes me as a boring, bland appointment. The sort Hoyle wanted us to get away from. I can see he's, hopefully, a safe pair of hands and I've know idea whether his teams are good to watch or not. I was just hoping for an appointment that showed Nagle meant business and that the football world would take notice of. Instead we just got "meh".

Our squad is bottom 3 stuff, we have hired a manager who hasnt so far overacheived with the quality of his squad..... outcome - relegation. Give him a load of money to spend and a top 6 budget and he will probably get us there as well. Dont see how a run of the mill manager fits into doing things differently, unless we are trying to be as shit as possible.

I know you ignore the reffing and VAR when Carlos is mentioned, how about the reffing and VAR that allowed the Wendies to win. It was as bad, if not worse.

As I put earlier, West Brom, took over in April with them 10 points adrift and got manager of the month for April, of course they were going down anyway. Sheff Wednesday he took over with them in the relegation zone and wasn't in charge for half of the games due to his illness. If only we'd gone for Sarina Weigman eh

Town didn't get promoted, Wednesday did. Do these promotions or non-promotions have an asterisk next to them saying "Well actually, they got promoted but it was all because of the referee"? Town benefitted from a decision in 2004 in the Play-off final, with a goal chalked off in the 90th minute for Mansfield. Never gets mentioned that one, probably because there's no points to score over it. Darren Moore won promotion with Sheffield Wednesday, end of story.

Whatever the club say it’s clear the lack of backing in the transfer window and the tweet from Nagle (Warnock’s response as well) is the true reason as to why Warnock Is leaving. Warnock has obviously been paid/told to keep his mouth shut on the real reason. He has, however , laid it on thick that this squad could challenge for the play-offs. Clever. It means Moore fails if he doesn’t achieve that or nearly that. Americans don’t like being told what to do, especially when it’s their money. Good luck to Moore if it is him. Wednesday fans were in meltdown when he was fired. Those are possibilities, they are far from obvious.

For the record I didn't suggest her for the job, I replied to someone who mentioned her that I'd prefer her to many that had been named. Have you also tried being a clever twat with the ones that mentioned Emma Hayes ?

Wagner got us promoted without a Town player scoring a goal in any of the play off games! It doesnt de-value the promotion.

The only thing that matters at the end of the day is that the club got promoted. Moore did that at Wednesday, Corberan didn't do it here. That's the difference.
