In terms of "value for money" this has got to be the worst in our entire history. Just think what we could do with that much cash right now.

Still not convinced we werent the victims of some kind of stitch up with Diakhaby...like the guy we got was actually the twin brother of the player who'd just played 30 times for Monaco, including in the champions league , alongside a host of stella names...and the 'real' Diakhaby was lounging around on a beach somewhere in the sun enjoying his retirement.

Winston Bogarde at Chelsea, the new manager didn't want him but he refused to leave as he was on such a good contract, only played 9 games in 4 years.

I'm sure I read somewhere that a fan had compared Diakhaby's playing style to a dog chasing a balloon. π
And we paid millions for him. π

Jean-Kevin Augustin will take some beating. Leeds ordered to pay something like Β£20m for him and he doesn't even play for them π€£

I wonder if thereβs a clause in footballers contracts that can terminate without severance if you fail a drugs test? There wonβt be, but there should beβ¦ yes usually gross misconduct, or bringing the club into disrepute.

Gordon Tucker, he set the benchmark as far as Town weβre concerned. In addition to being shite at football, didnβt GT also fail spectacularly in another line of business?

I suspect we might have "supported him to overcome his problem" if he hadn't been so mind blowingly crap. I recall the club being at pains to say that the drugs were not performance enhancing. Anyone who had watched him play would have assumed that anyway.

Warnock got Scarborough into the football league in 1987, there's no way Craig Whitington had been playing that long when we signed him in summer 1994.

For me, it has to be the permanent signing of Terence Kongolo.
We paid something like Β£18m for him and he did very little.
He was decent enough in his loan spell but once signed permanently, he was part of a team that lost 28 out of 38 matches, and then when we went down, he was poor in the Championship and replaced by Jaden Brown, I think?
Purely for the amount of money we spent, and what we got out of it. It's Kongolo for me.

Not the worst but a major disappointment. Mark Barham from Norwich Citu. Exciting winger and scored some good goals for the canaries. Came to Town and he was utter shite. Maybe he was supping McDonald's Corvonia.ππ

He was bitten on the leg by a dog, I think on Leeds Road, whilst training - he wasnβt the same player after that (this isnβt a lame joke, the story of the bite appeared in The Examiner)

Nigel Callaghan? I seem to remember him being the pitch at Odsal in a Town shirt, but donβt remember him doing owt. Dames goes for Gallagher(first name forgotten), former Scottish international, playing , allegedly, away atNorthamptononce, if I remember correctly.
