Another weird one for me was bringing on mainoo, he’s great but bringing on a 19 year old when you need to see it out is a bit risky for me. |

We will not get the best out of Foden playing him left wing and especially with a right footed full back. You have to get him more involved centrally. It's no surprise he was coming to the centre halves to see the ball.
It was scary how easily Serbia knocked the ball past us with 1 touch football, and how worried we looked when they pressed.
A wins a win I guess so move on, but we need to play far better if we want to do anything this tournament.

Southgate clueless why does he not bring Palmer on instead of Gallagher a guy who can create or score a goal then he takes Bellingham off his best player no chance of winning this under a defensive minded Southgate

I won't be too unhappy about that performance as we managed to get the job done and because football is a results game so long as the next games are better and more convincing as that wouldn't beat a much better team.

No one prepared to give Serbia any credit for a much improved 2nd half performance?
Brilliant marking job on Kane throughout the entire game and Tadic was class when he came on.
Agree with others who mention where we are playing Foden.
Hard to understand that Southgate hasn’t noticed where he plays for City and that he’s been one of the players of the season.

Soon as Serbia got the ball our midfield 4 dropped 30 yards to just in front of our back 5, conceding 75% of the pitch ! Even Kane was back.. Serbia's back 4 were all in our half.  is that all about. Mind numbingly negative boring shite yet again. We have decent players being shackled by GSs cluelessness.. We got away with that one, but strolling through games like that, against better teams and we'll lose. Can't believe how tedious it's all become. |

Mark Guehi was excellent tonight against 2 top centre forwards and Tadic.. England can go far with this defence. Tactically England were meak second half but that’s a very good 3 points against a good side.
