Hi All,



You may remember me as the 'Safe Standing Roadshow' guy, and I'm pleased to have played a small part in getting standing back to grounds in the PL and EFL - hopefully we'll see it at the John Smith's soon as well..



I'm also a bit of a German football nerd, so with the Euros coming up over there next summer, I've done a repeat of what I did for the World Cup in Germany in 2006 and put together a website as a guide for fans aiming to go to the tournament.



It's very creatively called Euro 2024 in Germany.



If you're thinking of going, I hope you find it helpful and, if not, just something to browse while there's no club football going on in the Championship.



All feedback and questions very welcome. Ditto re any tips you think I should add to the site.

Anyone lucky enough to get a ticket, an agreement has been reached whereas a match ticket will also serve as a regional transport ticket from 6am match day until 6pm the following day.

Are you referring to this guy ? - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Winn_(footballer) -  or maybe this one www.wikiwand.com/en/William_Wynn_(footballer) -  great name  "Willy Winn" -  to which the England support will reply -  "yup -  get as far as the semis and first decent squad we meet we will lose on penalties -  probably the Germans"

The norm with matches in Germany so good it’s been put in place for this

Actually, for the Euros it's better than the norm.

Often in Germany your match ticket gives you free public transport for a few hours before and after the game. However, for the Euros it's going to be a full 36 hours (from 6am on matchday until 6pm on the day after). It will also cover the whole of the regional transport network, so ticket holders will be able, if they wish, to travel in for free from outlying towns where accommodation is bound to be cheaper, as I've explained here.

Going by my mates' experience of Qatar and the previous Euros it's complete pot luck.

Some didn't get a single one they wanted, others got EVERY one they wanted.

Only been to group stages before and had some luck,guess knockout phase maybe harder.Not as hard as getting anything in Towns Premier League ballot though.

Think it’s by the 31st. I’ve not had owt yet but then I didn’t receive any email from them in the previous ballot.

I put in for fans first and cat 3 in first ballot and went for more expensive categories in this one , just in case less people in ballot in more expensive cats. Probably won’t make any difference . I’ve heard nothing yet and probably won’t by the 31st.

If you don’t receive any emails by the deadline, log into your account and it’ll show if you were successful. Fans 1st and Cat 3 will be very much luck of the draw and be hugely oversubscribed. Cat 1 for sure and Cat 2 to a lesser degree will be easier to pick up tickets as not everyone has the means or wants to throw a lot of money per ticket especially after the group stage when you don’t know who’ll be playing even.

I’ve applied for a few non England games in and around Düsseldorf for the duration of the Group games, not very hopeful of getting any tickets though due to the small amount of tickets available.

In the first sales before anyone knew who was playing where they had 1.2million tickets available to the public and they had around 20million requests, a further 1million tickets were put on sale to the qualifying nations in December but that doesn’t leave an awful lot to go around once you take into account hospitality and Sponsors tickets.

Me too bridgeterrier , trying to sample a few stadium atmospheres and hopefully carnival like pre match with different countries playing. Im hoping to concentrate on the bunch of cities reasonably close together ( Düsseldorf , cologne , Gelsenkirchen , Dortmond and Frankfurt ) . I’m sure many are planning similar.

Same - Nothing for me. Went for 4 games at Cat 3 and said I would accept cat 2. 7 of us did the same, nobody has got a ticket in 2 ballots.

Yep nothing for me . I applied for 6 games in cat 2 with the option to move up or down a cat. Got nothing . Does anyone know if there will be another option to buy ?

We’ve got tickets for the first two group games as we’re travel club members, but applied for other group games whilst we were there through UEFA and wasn’t successful.

Staying in Essen for one night, Bonn for 2 nights between the Serbia and Denmark game, before moving on to Mainz for 2 nights. First tournament for me so really looking forward to it!

Not long to go now before it all "kicks off":

I see the government has issued some foreign travel advice on GOV.UK for visits to Germany, more specifically for Euro 2024.

"Beer can be stronger than in the UK, so drink responsibly, know your limits and respect local laws. You may not be let into the stadium if you drink too much".
