Bottom line is we need 7 points from 12 avaliable, and 3 of them must come from the B'ham game.

If you wanted a glimmer of hope and confirmation of how mad this league is, look at the Millwall result tonight…
Still hope yet. UTT!!!

If we do go down, which after that disastrous 45mins is looking more likely than not, I’d be ringing Chesterfield to get permission to speak to Paul Cook, someone like him will get you straight back up in my opinion, a very underrated manager. (Not that he’d leave, but I suppose money talks.)

Reading some comments on the Millwall forum the other day was similar to tonight on here, some of them were resigned and couldnt see where their next goal never mind win was coming from, i've said in another thread tonigh only positive is thats it still tight, while we still have a chance we have to go for it though that goes without saying.

Tonight is the most worried i’ve been all season that we are going down.
Birmingham have some very nice fixtures left.

We think after Millwall and that 1st half tonight that we're actually making progress, there's hope at last...then boom back to fooking normal.
Bristol is now a must win, but even that wouldn't fix things,we need 3 wins on the trot..

Tonight is the most worried i’ve been all season that we are going down. Birmingham have some very nice fixtures left. Yeah that’s the issue. Cardiff aren’t great travellers. Rotherham are dreadful. We might go into Brum game already down. I think our only hope might be to gain more points than Plymouth.

Looking at the fixtures I think Plymouth are going to go down. Wednesday and Birmingham are going to pick up points
Hopefully we can get a draw Saturday as a minimum (which i think we will lose) and get two wins at home.

We might go into Brum game already down. I think our only hope might be to gain more points than Plymouth. We too are dreadful. When we're starting with Jackson and Wiles we're 2 men down from the start and that won't work too often. You can possibly add Burgzorg to that as well which makes a starting line up of 8 although he does at least make things happen occasionally. The rest have now probably given as much as they've got, Thomas being a good example. Add to that a Head Coach who doesn't seem to have much of a clue and it doesn't bode well. Taking off midfielders and bringing on strikers to replace them was bonkers and putting the most likely of them to score (Healey) in midfield suggests he's getting desperate. It just gave them the room to tear us apart and make a mainly decent defence look stupid.

All we need is for Sheff Wed and Birmingham to not pick up anymore points and we'll be right.
Not likely to happen but it seems more plausible than us getting anymore points based on that last 45....
I've officially lost faith and accepted that we are playing in League 1 next season.
Can't blame the ref for this loss

Can’t beat Rotherham or Stoke, scrape a last min win against Millwall, self-combust, despite being ahead, against W Brom and Preston, and Cardiff beat us up without getting out of second gear.
People say DATM is negative , I’m actually amazed anyone on here thinks we can actually stay up

Maybe my heart more than my head , but I just can't see us going . I think we'll get two home wins and either finish 4th or 5th from the bottom . I certainly don't want to be going down to Ipswich for the weekend already relegated..

All those sure we are down, put your money where your mouth is. About 400 quid with William Hill will get you a free season ticket next year.

We've had the worst goal difference in all 4 divisions since 2012. We've only had one season with a positive goal difference back when we were shafted by Jon Moss at Wembley.
I think it's time to accept our luck has finally run out.
I think we'll be going down unfortunately and we won't be back for a long time. However it will be nice to watch Town knowing we've got some chance of not being in a relegation scrap all season which frankly has become a chore.

There's obviously a chance we survive but it would require other teams to be as shit as us and fight as little as we do. Which won't happen. It also requires us to win multiple games, which won't happen. I hope this post is wrong.

Only Rotherham have won less games and conceded more goals than Town. It's only our reasonable Goals For which is keeping us out of the bottom 3 (at Owls' expense).....but we could still be swopping places with Brum this evening.

IF we're looking to stay up, and that's what we want. It's going to need every one of us to pull together, try and be encouraging, optimistic, supportive as the best we can, and ultimately get behind the team, to lift them, rather than bring 'em down and abusing them.
We're frustrated, we're pissed off. We've been perennial strugglers for years now. BUT....
Can we put our differences aside for 6 weeks and change our actions to be more positive and then in the summer truly voice our opinions? Big ask, but I've only ever seen togetherness, believe, all as one approach to teams that stay up. We're going to need that. What we're doing now, isn't working.
Yes, I understand if the lads that cross the white line put in performances we as the fan base will get behind them. It's a bit like what came first chicken or the egg question? Reality is it needs both of us (fans and players/coaching staff/board) to be in sync as much as we can.
IF and ONLY IF we can do that, I believe is the only way we can stay up this season.
Tin hat ready.
Yours,
Positive/Optimistic/Blind Faith Terrier.
