It was a pretty hopeless analogy. I agree with his fundamental point about supporters' tendency to judge the state of the entire club based on the form of the first eleven. In fairness, I do think they need to do a better job of showing supporters some of the good things that are going on in the background. |

He said we are in a better position this year than we were last year and said it sounds moronic. Yeah it does, cos it's a fucking moronic statement. He also said that he didn't have much control in July, but he was the one who welcomed Ben Wiles. Just not taking any accountability at all. He was also never worried about getting the sack, if you are not worried about going through 3 managers and a relegation, then your mad mate. This time last year we were still over a month away from Kevin finally getting hold of the the keys to the club. Little wonder we were all over the place last season. |

I’ve not been his biggest fan but he’s not the sole reason we got relegated. Let’s give him a clean slate and back the club. We’re going to have one hell of a summer reshaping the squad.

Nicely moved into saying the club has been on a demise for “one, two, three, four, five years”.
Disappointing really as he came across still as a bit of a spiv.
Interesting how the recruitment needs to be right characters not just playing ability. Ie Burgzorg
Blames players injuries on Baulker and Bojan coming in without being the right condition. Thrown into the first team and body broke down.
Mentions 5 signings including Spencer returning from loan, in Jan shows the difficulties of summer recruitment.
Reading between the lines, it seems there hasn’t been much of a strategy in recruitment and the managerial merry go round under Mr Cartwright.
Think we are back to the jargon words such as “alignment” and “we want to play attacking football” again

He will be referring to as a base to work from. A clean slate,fresh start,a manager who wants to build something,a full summer to work with etc etc We literally had none of those things last summer it was all very last minute and rushed and make do. I also have criticised because you have to.Moore was a bad decision he has to take that one on the chin(someone will say chins) although this won’t be popular going off what andre said Moore probably did slightly better than what will ever be said about his time. Andre right man wrong time although I’m still firmly of the belief that Kevin took that decision out of his hands. January,his explanation while it makes sense I’ll only accept it if this summer turns out to be a success. The jury is still out but I think bashing him at every opportunity and magnifying every single thing he says at this stage needs to stop. As a side note when edwards gets thrown in I also find that strange as I’m not having he’s directly anything really to do with decisions that impact the playing side. |

Not football managers, but somehow the DoF gets a complete free pass. |

More people making excuses for him. He was in charge before the start of the season but let's ignore that. He needed Maybury to do a good job did he, then why did we employ him? He was in charge in January and had no idea of what was required to keep us up, but he needs to be in place for a full year. He is responsible for setting on the managers as well, but he needs more time. I am glad that most of these people are not in charge of recruitment at the companies they work for or they would all be bankrupt. They should think that if they did such a poor job as Cartwright has done this last year they would not have seen October nevermind expecting another 12 months. |
