Happy to give Duff a month, but as season doesn't start till August a month seems a bit harsh!

Yep and Choupo Mouting who was one of the most impressive players I saw at the JS when we were in the Prem and has gone on to have a great career at Bayern. And that’s before we remember he found Arnautovic as well, who’s one of the top three strikers I’ve seen play against us in 40 years.

If Cartwright took Neil’s office when they got rid, will Duff get that big office back or the pokey one managers had since then?…..

If Cartwright took Neil’s office when they got rid, will Duff get that big office back or the pokey one managers had since then?…..;) I’m sure you’re saying this tongue in cheek, but if this did happen, it reminds me of the Nationwide advert, with the arse of a CEO talking about his pokey office that’s actually quite palatial. That’s not the sort of behaviour that instils me with confidence TBF, it’s not a socialist thing before anyone starts, but I fecking hate it when people talk in possessive terms, ‘my team’, ‘I did this’ etc. There’s a time and a place for self promotion and taking up residence in a vacant office that you know will soon be occupied smacks of narcissistic tendencies. The acid test for this bloke will be the next 3-6 months.

They can’t move in that broom cupboard, since they had to stick your world bowling trophy in there.

I wonder if Cartwrights little black book he has is literally branded Beswick Sports, would appear so and make sense also.

Think a bit too much is made of the beswick thing Who cares where they are linked to so long as they are good and help us achieve I'm sure if there was anything dodgy going on Nagle dog would be all over it. If we have an In to get good players let's use it. I'll judge him on the type of players we sign, so far not been great but 3 of the ones with bigger reps and price tags have got injuries after they got here.let's see after a pre season then we can all have a cry and a moan.

First Touch are Sorensen's proper agent - the Danish guy named here. They've clearly got a link with Beswicks. The same guy was Billings original agent before he went billy big bollocks. There's not that many big agencies and they all have a lot of links and contacts with each other. It's a you scratch my back I'll scratch yours world. If you're going to constantly look for a link back to Beswicks you're probably going to find it. How about judging whether people are any good when they've started playing rather than just throwing the toys out of the pram about Beswicks!

Funny thing is that from about 2016-2019 about half our squad inc Wagner had the same agent - John Morris at what was then Key Sports. But nobody cared cos we were winning football matches.

Currently questions are getting asked because Cartwright has shown nothing to suggest he is a good director of football. Helped push Warnock out, appointed Darren Moore (said he would play an attacking brand of football), appointed Breitenreiter and made the club look like we should be in awe of appointing such a name with his press conference remarks and to finalise has made some incredibly average signings so far in his tenure. Therefore when we are signing more players from his agency questions will continue to be asked until they prove to be successful. Especially considering the mess of it he has made so far.

In his last two seasons for us Billing had the lowest wage per minutes played out of every player in the Premier League. I think he was justified in wanting more money

Hardly any of this has any relevance to the odd player coming via Beswicks though. Cartwright might well be shite, we'll probably know for certain within the next few months but at least beat him with the relevant sticks, not just any.

All its showing currently is that he is incredibly limited, tried to bring in players outside of Beswick failed and now and has to use his own agency to bring in talent again (which was the point/joke of the initial post I made, his black book is basically Beswick Sports). Look he may turn it around and be great, but I think everybody has a right to be sceptical on how things have gone and what the future looks like? Also those in the know around the club appear to think he's a clown (taking the managers office the day after Warnock left) and I trust their judgement. But yes lets wait and see what League one brings.

We all hope so anyway.
