I suppose as we are lining up in a 5-4-1 formation we are going to try and keep the score as is, until half time at least.

In our last five games we have had the following amounts of possession:
24%, 22%, 24%, 29%, 26%
So far today we have had 17%.
We are making shithousing an art form, but recently we have been getting results, so I can't see the tactics changing.
Shows how poor we are in possession, but also shows how organised we are without the ball.
It also shows how poor many of the teams are in our division at breaking down a low block.

Good save from Maxwell, he’s looked a very safe pair of hands As it stands, he keeps the jersey even if Nicholls is fit. He's been solid, and you could argue the defense dare I say it have been much better with him in goal, albeit we have of late been playing with 7 or 8 defenders  |

If we weren't 1-0 up I'd be fuming at that! Defensively solid though. Maxwell looks great and we generally seem to have answers to whatever they chuck at us. Never seen a team hold out like this for 90 minutes though

I mean, there isnt going to be many people rushing to watch us play this brand of football, but we are winning 1-0 and that Ward chance was the best chance of the game, so should have been 2. Its one of those that if you are 2-0 down playing like that, then everyone is spitting feathers, but with everything going on this season, and where we find ourselves, its points over entertainment. I would take a repeat in the second half, even if it means falling asleep.

However, neither is watching a team endlessly faffing around with the ball at a snail's pace and creating diddly squat at the end of it. |

Not pretty last few games, but really pleasing to see we're back to where we were before the coaching changes. I'll hold me hand up and apologise to DM for being a bit harsh on here after the horrible performances with a threadbare team.
Let's hope we can see this out and kick on again.
