Jackson has been so poor on the ball. In a game like this where you hardly see the ball, you can't just give it back to them so easily. What do we do all week?

I think we all thought we would lose this game. Can we get a goal though. That would be something. UTT

We really need to work on, once we get the ball back not just giving it straight back. The amount of times in games, we get it back , then give it straight back is something of annoyence.

Spencer having a good game, closing the distance to his man quickly and holding a good shape.

Bit gutting with Koroma, Warnock gave him a chance to resurrect a championship career and he took it. Looks a shadow of that again now, struggle to see him having a career at that level now unless the right coach can get the best out of him again.

No VAR for the elbow on Spencer? VAR is for Premier league teams only

When we moan about the refs affecting our dismal 2018-19 season, it was always like this. We'd be second best, but on those few occasions we'd have the chances to tip the scales, the ref would fuck us over. Almost every refereeing decision today would be different if the boot was on the other foot.

Like a lot of our players he can look fine in a packed defence. It's games where he actually has to do something with the ball that he looks way out of his depth

Was like this against most of the top teams when we were actually in the PL, it’s like stepping back in time. They’re professional footballers, you’d think they can string a pass or 2 together and retain possession no matter the opposition. But I think it probably does come down to coaching.

At least 3 times heard the "is this a library" chant. Apart from their goals, they've literally made no noise. It's like watching a reserve game from the mid 90s on a Wednesday afternoon with 120 people in attendance. At least we're trying to make some noise

Hopefully give Bojan a decent run out now and Matos who looks decent is on a yellow so maybe take him off early.

No complaints about the performance from me. Well organised. Couple of early goals from us in the second half and who knows!

Very proud of the lads this first half. Not disgraced ourselves whatsoever. They have worked very hard, against this ultra quality Man City side. The physical and mental hard work being switched on all the time must be exhausting. City’s play is total football from another planet. So tricky. So intricate. So quick and So patient in their build up. We’ve got to remember that even some of the minor stars like Bobb or even half a Bob(b) is worth more than our entire squad, never mind the likes of Grelish or Foden. Happy with our new acquisition Matos. Looks decent.

7 ,000 in the ground and noithing for our fans to shout about Go for it now as what have we to loose and bring the new boy on Dont agree, think we'd be a couple more behind if we went at them more. I know this is negative but I really want to avoid this being embarrassing. We saw what happens to us when we have a go (Leeds away 4 down in 45 mins).

Two positives, Matos and Spencer. Usual issues with technique from usual suspects.

Hold there heads up high that half
Some decent showings all over the park especially matos
Edmonds green is no where near a championship defender in my eyes. He gets worse everytime I see him play

At least we're trying to make some noise I mean it basically is a training game for them of attack vs defence. Although I guess that’s probably most weeks.

Defensively, we're doing OK. Bit of fortune for both goals. I thought Lees was pushed in the build-up to their first, and the second just falls for them about three times. The pull-back, the scuffed shot, through Lees' legs. The problem is that when they've had chances, they've taken them. We need to be more composed on the ball when we get it. I'd have Matos or Wiles (booking - which was never a booking but that's what happens at these places - and lack of fitness respectively) off for the new lad, put Thomas down the right and see if having a focal point makes a difference while getting the new lad integrated to the English game.
Quite how Matos was booked is beyond me. Quite how their lad wasn't for the elbow on Spencer is also beyond me. Quite how Calvert-Lewin saw red the other night is also beyond me, mind, and it's the same referee.
