Was thinking the same, seems to have gotten better. But the SPL is League Two standard apparently... It is 😂

Thought it was a okay performance first half. If we had wide players who could sting a few passes together we may have at least earned their keepers gloves

Matos looking useful. Thomas flogging a dead horse on his own. Why oh why do we see the same usual suspects being incapable of passing a ball 10 yds.

Let's look at the positives. We were well organised for 30 minutes against the best side in the world.
Spencer looks much much better than the last time we saw him. Looks to have grown up. Matos looks a cracking signing, too. Him, Wiles, Rudoni, Kasumu - we're ok in central midfield now. Yes, a Mooy-esque #8 would be great, but we''ve got a good'un there.
If Bojan is a similalry good find, we have reasons for cautious optimism in the weeks to come.

Hold there heads up high that half Some decent showings all over the park especially matos Edmonds green is no where near a championship defender in my eyes. He gets worse everytime I see him play League 1 if he is lucky.

Defensively, we're doing OK. Bit of fortune for both goals. I thought Lees was pushed in the build-up to their first, and the second just falls for them about three times. The pull-back, the scuffed shot, through Lees' legs. The problem is that when they've had chances, they've taken them. We need to be more composed on the ball when we get it. I'd have Matos or Wiles (booking - which was never a booking but that's what happens at these places - and lack of fitness respectively) off for the new lad, put Thomas down the right and see if having a focal point makes a difference while getting the new lad integrated to the English game. Quite how Matos was booked is beyond me. Quite how their lad wasn't for the elbow on Spencer is also beyond me. Quite how Calvert-Lewin saw red the other night is also beyond me, mind, and it's the same referee. 100%. I was expecting a VAR review.

At least 3 times heard the "is this a library" chant. Apart from their goals, they've literally made no noise. It's like watching a reserve game from the mid 90s on a Wednesday afternoon with 120 people in attendance. At least we're trying to make some noise Was the same in the 2017 5th round replay... shite support.

We’ve had a couple of chances to get up the pitch but the passing has been awful. Kept our shape well though, just inevitable that they would score unfortunately.

Matos looks a real powerhouse He does indeed. We need to pick up one or two more of a similar ilk before the window closes.

It's ok sitting on the edge of your own box...but when you've no striker and no pace up top, no one to be strong enough to hold up the ball and win free kicks........ Sorba can't hold a ball up he's too lightweisht, nor win many headers, and how we could do with some pace. I know it's City, but even so..you've got to have some 'bite' up front otherwise what is the point of it all ? Maybe bring Diarra to add some pace , to push City back a bit..win a croner, throw ins up the pitch ...even Hudlin might win some headers ffs can't believe I'm saying that...

No complaints about the performance from me. Well organised. Couple of early goals from us in the second half and who knows! You do know Man City will be coming out for the second half too? Really? Either I didn't or I'm just having a bit of a laugh.

A few positives from the half, I thought. Matos looks a good acquisition, I can see him & Rudoni (who also looks sharp) forming a good partnership. Spencer’s loan has done him good. Jackson looks a bit out of his depth, though. Wiles disciplined defensively, but looks to be running through treacle when trying to break forward. Koroma tries, but just isn’t a defensive midfielder, brushed aside too easily for their second.

Exactly as expected, the lads giving it their all but total lack of quality on the ball with the few chances we had to break.
Matos looks very promising, Spencer has improved but REG & Koroma haven't.
2nd half depends on how much City want to rub it in. I'd take Matos off after 60 mins & I'd like to see Bojan on 2nd half.
Can't complain but I hope it doesn't get too messy.

We have looked better than I expected so far… how I see things at the moment
Like the look of Matos. Would like to see the other new kid. Spencer looks decent enough. Forgot Koroma was playing to be honest

Sick of people criticising REG like it’s all his fault, he’s not been half as bad as people are making out there. Get off the lads back at least he’s trying if you’ve genuinely watched that first half and thought lees has been better you’re watching the wrong sport.

City won't score in the 2nd half so we only need 2 to bring them to the Mac

Like the look of Matos but he needs to be careful second half after being booked. Spencer has kept Grealish quiet and looked decent so far.

Matos for Bojan in the next 10-15 mins, save a second yellow, move Sorba to the wing.
