As a small boy I used to watch Dr Who from behind the sofa, because I was terrified about what might happen. Well... My feelings entirely!! It's going to be a nail biting afternoon facing after of attack hoping our wonderful club doesn't get completely humiliated! The home fans will no doubt be singing about the 10-1 right from the off and begging for it to be repeated. My NY resolution of no Sunday drinking is under serious threat today! I'd actually take the 10-1 and raise you the best team goal we have ever scored (Rob Edwards) in our 1-0 win.

Remember, right up until 2PM, all Town fans should carry that glimmer of hope for something special. Wouldn’t be football if we were all so clinical and matter of fact about things.
There’s at least 6,000+ who I’ve no doubt will be waking into the ground hoping for something special…
UTT… Let’s show our pride in the club today…

On coach on the way to the Etihad, first time for us. Any pubs nearby or we best getting pints at the ground?

My guess is the vast majority have no idea they won 10-1...they only turned up when the Arab state bought them all their players....Peter Swales could only give them Tony Adcock...or John Gidman to score a late equaliser to force a draw and a replay back at Maine Road There were enough singing it last time we got battered there! I agree the glory fans would have had no idea until their social media tweeted the highlights earlier in the week!

So insulting to us. Fuck em. Embarrassingly bad journalism from the broadcaster who picked spurs v Burnley for the Friday night third round tie. Clueless idiots.

So insulting to us. Fuck em. No one gives a fuck about us . It’s not exclusively us , they didn’t care about Preston away at Chelsea yesterday . They’ve not even bothered doing a pre match for West Ham - Blackpool. We’re only on iplayer because of City and the BBC/ITV only care about the premier league and potential shocks. Why else would they choose spurs v Burnley or palace v Everton from this set of games? Hope we got out there today with enough spirit and bravery to get a mention in the match report .

Genuinely hilarious that it’s someone’s job to do the team news for the game, and they’ve completely ignored one of the teams 🤣

In all the years I've supported Town I don't think I've ever cared less about an upcoming match than this one. Not sure I'd that far..... ...but it is probably significant this is the first Manchester City Vs Huddersfield game in Manchester that I've missed in the last 40+ years (I was only 9 when I missed the last). If you'd told me on the afternoon of the Robbie Edwards game (07/11/97) that 25+ years later I wouldn't be bothered going to the same fixture when City were European champions I'd have thought you were on drugs much stronger than Tetleys (for multiple reasons). Hope we don't put too weak a team out and keep the score semi respectable (i.e. 6 or less). TBH not confident on either front. UTT

Well I have put my money where my big mouth is! £10 on a Town win ! ........ come on Town ! Only £1.70 for me (to win £100) viewed as "Insurance Money" just in case... ....but TBH we're not overpriced.....

Working in Manchester and as a Town fan I really hope that Sunday is the start of the season they win nowt more than the Subbuteo tournament they just won. Four in a row for City cheapens our history I don’t think it would cheapen our history at all. It was achieved in a time long ago when football was a working mans game played on a much more level playing field. Manchester City have achieved it with a net spend of £2 billion in recent years with the pick of global talent and with 115 charges pending relating to financial fair play irregularities. I’d say it cheapens the Premier League more than anything else.

There is so much wrong with this post I don’t know where to start, maybe best you stick to what you actually know, instead of what you’ve read in a newspaper, I could pull it apart but iv got a match to go to.

For Town fans in Germany: DAZN showing the game live. Should be decent viewing figures with no competitive German games on to rival it. Just hope the viewing figures are roughly the same at the end of the game as they will be for the number tuning in, because that'll probably mean it's been a close game.
Mate of mine said keeping them down to anything less than 5 should be treated as a VICTORY for HUDDERSFIELD TOWN! Handicap system for the FA Cup in future? Would make things interesting, and might have to come into being in future..

Good to see Edwards in the squad. Hopefully he starts as I'm confident he would have Doku in his back pocket

Sorba 66/1 for 1st goal.. That’s insane.. I’ve lumped on.. 100 English pence.. 😂😂 I've gone for Koroma first scorer 1-1 final score. 600/1. I've also gone for the same bet I've done every game this season. Helik to score first, town to win 2-1. 2000/1. Neither are likely but it's only a quid.
