I’m surprised we don’t have a dedicated thread on this, apologies if we do and I haven’t seen it, but here is the current list of injuries: Chris Maxwell (hamstring) , Jacob Chapman (ankle); Josh Ruffels (groin), Matty Pearson (calf), Jonathan Hogg (illness), Delano Burgzorg (ankle), Jaheim Headley (ankle), David Kasumu (knee), Ollie Turton (knee), Kian Harratt (hamstring), Danny Ward (Achilles), Pat Jones (hamstring),
Do we have any idea about the length that burgzorg, Headley and Kasumu are out for? Three crucial players IMO.

There is no doubt that we haven't necessarily had the rub of the green with injuries but we can't allow that to become an excuse.
There are players we could definitely do with but we have to start to find ways to win games of football now.
It also doesn't get away from the fact we would significantly benefit from better quality. Initial signs from Matos and Radulivic are encouraging.

I think re Burgzorg it was said that we won't see him any time soon (whether that means a month, 3 months, or what, i don't know, it's vague)

The Headley one was strange as it looked very minimal contact. Surely not a long term absence

Any team would struggle with that many injuries especially when the majority of them are your best players

Morley, genuine question: Chris Maxwell (hamstring) Jacob Chapman (ankle); Josh Ruffels (groin), Matty Pearson (calf), Jonathan Hogg (illness), Delano Burgzorg (ankle), Jaheim Headley (ankle), David Kasumu (knee), Ollie Turton (knee), Kian Harratt (hamstring), Danny Ward (Achilles), Pat Jones (hamstring), how the fuck is the above an excuse?

I can't see the OP has said anywhere that it is an excuse, just stated simple facts that we have a lot of players injured at the moment, simply listed the players injured and their injuries?

You rest a player when you have a strong side risking a young unexperienced player against world class opposition can detroy a yopung player

But injuries happening in training or through training is bloody criminal in my humble opinion !

You rest a player when you have a strong side risking a young unexperienced player against world class opposition can detroy a yopung player The priority is the league, using a 35 year old that has just recovered from illness is pointless in a game we were never going to win, especially when he has a reoccurring hip issue. He's at an age where we need to manage his minutes responsibly.

He's at an age where we need to manage his minutes responsibly. Spot on. It’s been mentioned on here a fair bit recently about managing his minutes. I’d suggest leaving him out today was the right choice - we need him back to get three points on Saturday.

Does anyone think the injuries are just bad luck? Seems unlikely to be although I don't pretend I understand what's causing them.

I don't what it is they're doing in training but they ought concentrate on learning how to pass the bloody ball. Time and again we give it away when it should be a simple pass and not just in this game, it happens every week.
