I’ve never met him or Dave, but claiming he’s ill and needs a doctor is fucking shameful.
He’s just a Town fan voicing an opinion. Crossing the line between social media nonsense to personally and purposefully pick at a man’s alleged demons is beyond contempt IMHO.

OK, I think it's time to back off the comments re Duncan's wellbeing etc now folks. He's had some comments and said his bit. We've been here before with an individual's wellbeing being challenged; it never ends well.

From memory... Dave had replied to another Town fan celebrating the win, then Dunc out the blue starts one of his late night Sunday rants... 'what about the 6 defeats in 7', 'you're becoming very irritating (to someone HE follows on social media)'. Then he started going on about how Dave has no talent, but he does because he's won a couple of BAFTA's. It was absolute gold, gutted Dunc's restricted his tweets now. I genuinely think duncfost01 is ill. Seriously mate, go see your GP. Something ain't right here. You are one of the most level headed posters on here Tinpot. But that post is not helpful. |

My response. On reflection I did bite at Dave first. His reply (I’ve not looked on here so I’m not sure how much of the conversation was posted ) did irritate, so he got a some back. For me he Knows very little about English football. He knows even less about the history and the mostly disappointing times supporting our club. 50 plus years for me. I felt his first tweet was patronising and slightly “clever” , I felt it mocked the supporters who had posted the picture. He wasn’t posting when we lost 6 out 7 - in fact he posted nothing. He is just Kevin’s “mate” and his level of journalism- if in fact he is a journalist or just some radio presenter - who knows. As usual i took abuse from some on here. This time I chose not to respond. Translation: "I was pissed and needed some attention". Weak reply. |

Not that my opinion matters. Dunc wears his heart on his sleeve, says how it is at times, yes can got OTT on things but that’s the madness of being a fan (we’ve had a tough ride and can understand the frustrations).

This all sits uncomfortably with me. Duncan is Duncan, we all know that. He’s a passionate Town fan of + 50 years, as am I, and we all know the frustrations we’ve been through all those years. Dave is an advisor to the club apparently??? Been around 18 months? As much as Dunc gives his frustrations out, Dave as an advisor to the club, should know better than to engage. Why is a DJ from Sacremento even engaging with the fan base. I just don’t get it. Advisor to the club? Dunc has earned the right to a moan even if OTT. Just ignore it Dave or put a 50 year shift in first before you bite. UTT!

All this talk about BAFTA's, I did some work for a guy in the centre of London who had two on his mantlepiece, ex cricketer Mark Nicholas won them for his presentation work on Sky/Ch 4......Tell you what they are surprisingly heavy, nice to show off though.

Regardless of what's been said, inferring someone needs to speak to their GP about their mental health whilst also having the words 'Mental Health Support Group' under your name isn't on.
If you're one this forum, chances are you'll have argued with someone on here or on social media at some point. Doesn't mean you need to seek advice from a bloody GP, just that you're human and have fallen into the trap of social media.

Dunc has been starting arguments on here for years now, who remembers the infamous Box 18 or some other crap? He is more than prepared to dish it out so he should be more than prepared to take it back aswell. I couldn't care less if DC is associated with the club, if I owned it and someone called me allsorts on social media I would give it back too. Who are we embarrassing ourselves with? Crawley town supporters? Mansfield Town supporters? Who gives a shit what anyone else thinks. Everyone complained when there was silence during the defeats and now everyone is whinging about someone giving a bit back. Dunc may or may not need help but one thing is for sure, he can't control his emotions on social media. The proof is there to see. |
