Booth and Abbott in 2004-05 and 2005-06 as well. Abbott never seems to merit a mention these days, but his goalscoring record was decent. Abbott was a proper goalscorer. He told a fellow Polish friend of mine that his goal tally fell when Jacko had him tracking back, which Pav didn't much care for. Leon Knight and Andrew Booth in 2001-02 also both managed double figures. Jon Stead and Andrew Booth in 2003-04 as well. What a luxury. These days our forwards barely get five goals a season.

Happy days!! Feel old fashioned now remembering a time it was standard to just have a pair of out and out strikers with the wisdom being if they bagged 15+ each you’d be up and with a play off chance….!!

Sorry, can't see anything for us in this game.
It will be back to the wall (did I just dream the first half v Ipswich?)
It will be dull, dull, dull.
I'll still find a dodgy link though and be on the edge of my seat, right up to their first goal, probably the first five or the last five minutes of the first half.
UTFT.

I've been to this fixture on the last 3 occasions and managed one point from 3 games and that was a dull 0-0. I cant get there on Saturday so guaranteed Town WIN. Get your money on now.

Rovers have four at home on the trot, after Town they play Wrexham (sold out away end 7000) in a tricky FAC tie, then QPR (3/2) & Stoke (10/2) gives them a great chance to pull clear of relegation pack......Could also be curtains going on current form, QPR's 5 at home in a row stands at 3 losses with 2 to play.

But: • is Balker match-fit and used to playing the system?; • has Radulovic recovered from his injury? (Read he's training fully.) • are you not premature with respect to Healey? Please forgive the scepticism.

Doubt Balker will be available, it took Nakayamas clearance about 3 weeks didn't it?

Have to get something from this - a point would be a disappointing result
Blackburn are sinking quickly, they were diabolical against us at home, I said then they looked a side heading for relegation & the results since have continued to back that up
They’ve now lost 7 out of last 9 in league.
Have to play positively and look to win

Have to play positively and look to win For this reason DM bought himself a reprieve, 1 win in nine (7 points from 27, BR 4 from 27) courtesy of Rovers & leaves both managers tomorrow standing on the trapdoor, a draw for both will probably buy another week so expect to see a similar outcome to last Saturday.......0-0/1-1.

Looking forward to the presser to see who we've managed to injure this week?
In all seriousness though, no excuses now, Darren. The spine of the team has been upgraded and we're expecting much, much better. Three very winnable games, starting tomorrow.

He will rule 2/3 out with zero advice from the medical team just to keep himself in a job for another week.

Bollocks to it - just purchased 2 tickets for tomorrow to see the new boys play. I imagine we'll only take around a thousand.
No excuses, new signings need to be involved. Could be Moore's last swansong if it's another howler.

Norovirus apparently ripped through the Groningen squad. Hopefully Balker has been nowhere near the rest of the Town players... KNVB supports Groningen after sick , duel with Emmen postponed The KNVB has decided that the game in the first division between FC Emmen and FC Groningen will be postponed, because Groningen has many sick players. The game was scheduled for Friday evening. On Wednesday FC Groningen asked the KNVB to postpone the match because sixteen players had become ill. The club suspects that it is the norovirus, a very contagious virus with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea and mild fever. Acute situation "The acute of the situation, the nature and extent of the complaints and the contamination and health risks make it a situation that is so beyond the control of FC Groningen, that it has been decided to postpone the match, "writes the Football Association in a statement on the website. Today there were only nine players on the training field. The KNVB is looking for a new date for the game with FC Emmen and FC Groningen.

I’d be throwing healey straight into the lineup if that’s the case. Apparently bojan was just a slight knock but now it’s a full week later and the words don’t sound encouraging. Can’t go through another game without a proper striker.

This season can just f*** right off now. Feel sorry for Nagle, there should be a buzz about Town at the minute but everything just turns to shit.
