not just the younger lot being vile, at Burnley last season, my daughter (15 yrs old) went to find her seat and old boy was there, to be told in no uncertain to F&%k off and go some where else, the culprit? a 62 yr old man, we know his age because when i appeared and told him what would happen if a) he spoke to my daughter like that again and b) if he didn't move , his response was "why are you getting at me im 62!" away days seem to bring the worse out in people

I’ve read this forum for years but rarely ever post. As to behaviour from some fans yesterday I also had problems. I’m nearly 70, female, and go with my son. We had four young lads behind us, one said he was 14, who’d obviously been drinking and were determined to be as annoying and aggressive as possible. When we scored one of them jumped into me and I nearly fell down the steps, luckily my son grabbed me. He had a go at them, threatened them (which he shouldn’t have done) but they just laughed and became argumentative for the rest of the half. One of them said ‘it’s a football match’ I said I agreed but didn’t mean they could do what they want and spoil it for others. The police checked I was okay and told them to calm down.
Second half was even worse and as I was coming back upstairs the police once again asked if I was okay. I could see my son was once again arguing with them and the police officer told a steward to move them. One of them was taunting me on the stairs and called me a c*** and dared me to hit him. I so wanted to but it would have been me in trouble. We’ve travelled up and down the country, and further afield watching us for years but I’m starting to wonder if it’s worth it anymore.
Sorry for rambling on, just needed to vent.

I'm on this site often but don't post much. I've seen us on 90 odd grounds a lot with my dad. He's 82 he's watched Town since he was a kid. He doesn't do many away matches anymore but never misses at home. Well he fancied today with the new signings so we had a good day out together and managed a couple of pints in the Golden Cup pre match. But he's done he was pushed down the steps by a load of kids after match, think there was something going on. 82 for f*cks sake he saw Denis Law , Jimmy Nick the lot and for him to be put off by fellow so called Town fans? I'm just really sad tonight because these kids have no respect. I don’t do many away games anymore but we seem to have a fair few arseholes amongst us right now Funnily enough it was Blackburn away 2022 which stopped me going to away games because of the Cocaine Contingency. Utter utter c**** and appear to be a growing number at town.

Not being a ‘youngster’ anymore, what are the kids on these days?? Are they just pissed or is it something else? They’re definitely not ‘loved up’ on E’s..! Seems to be more than just booze to me….

Whoever it was, I hope if they're found out that they get a lifetime ban, as I don't want braindead knuckledraggers like that being associated with the club. Absolutely disgusting.

Cocaine is absolutely rife in Hudds/Kirklees, and probably most areas of the UK right now. Teenagers on it, adults on it. Available everywhere. I had a 16 year old tell me a few weeks ago that he didn't mind it being cut with a substance essentially the same as rat poison, as it gave him a 'buzz'.

I think the club should be made aware and some of these "kids" should just be banned. It sounds like its ruining it for genuine supporters.

They really ought to put sniffer dogs on certain turnstiles. They started doing that at some of the big summer race meetings and have seen a reduction in trouble.

We have the same problem at City, highlighted at any local away game. At Doncaster, last season, there were two men in their 40s barging their way through the toilets to do ‘coke’ while a very young child was waiting for them outside. Sad enough youngsters doing it but pathetic and disgusting for grown men to be doing it when they have a kid to look after.

Not just those that go to football. Youth coked up to the eyeballs is common place these days. A surprising amount are also carrying knives. The Coke takes their bravado levels through the roof, and the danger is they get into an altercation and without even pausing for thought, they do something that would affect their lives forever more. These kids could be soft as fuck but with a blade in their pocket, anyone can be hard.

Four ‘lads’ leaving ground after game yesterday singing, “If you wear a yellow jacket you’re a c-bomb’” in the direction of every copper stood outside and nothing happens. Coppers just stood there and took it. Why? Would have made my day if they’d been arrested and got no idea why they weren’t. Sat on row 4 in bottom corner with my daughter so we could see. Another dad and his lad did the same. Five minutes after half time four lads join us and start vaping. Get chucked out. Then four lads decide to come and stand right in front of us and get arsey when asked not to. Think there’s something about Blackburn that brings out the absolute knuckle-draggers of Huddersfield as would say it’s one of the worst away days in terms of probability of bumping into some absolute shitbags that you have nothing in common with expect being from Huddersfield. They were stood next to me and the boy, you must’ve been on the other side of them. The lad that got ejected (his mates just followed him out) walked in with a full pint after half time too.

I was at Haven, Group of 8 adults. 4 women pissed, their kids in a ball pool and 4 dads in the toilet sniffing. All at 3pm while i watched Town at Swansea on my Ipad. Pond life.

Sadly, these days, sticking your nose in just puts you in the firing line too. A bit of ‘self-policing’ in a large group at the back of the old East Terrace would go unnoticed, but Blackburn (in this case) were scanning us with cameras all afternoon and targeting specific individuals.

Not a popular opinion but for me, someone who goes to games with my young son or elderly dad, I do think the key lies in forcing people to sit in their allocated seat.
It will stop excessively sized groups of kids amassing and generally stop confrontations of people not being able to access their seat.
It would not stop people singing so I don't buy it would impact atmosphere.
I must admit I always go to my allocated seat and move people on if their in it. If for whatever reason I'm not early to the game, I'm not being ushered to a crap unoccupied seat near the front because someone else has taken mine.

Full of coked up knobheads as usual. Definitely got worse for that since lockdown. There's a massive problem but people just turn a blind eye, including the authorities. It's ridiculous, and there's no wonder there's so much violence now. Before lockdown, I barely ever saw Town fans wanting to fight each other but after lockdown, it's increased tenfold. I went to Rotherham last season on a bus, and it was full of kids. We stopped off at this pub just outside Rotherham and as most of them weren't old enough to drink, they were all just sat outside. Yet you couldn't move in the bogs as they were all snorting their faces off. It's a genuine problem that's just being ignored.

Couldn’t agree more P155es me off royally when folk bang on about the country going downhill and lack of funds yet we’re having to fund huge police bills cause some peoples lack of personal responsibility is non existent. My daughter wants to go to her first game with me next week. I’ll be honest. I’m really concerned it’s going to be a terrible experience. (And I’m not talking about what’s going on on the pitch)
