The underlying fact is he is a shite manager. Nagle himself has practically said it was excuses on twitter Moore was shite for us. Regarding the lack of strikers and and injuries: I think both you AND Nagle are wrong. We will have to agree to disagree then. Cracking result today and one that would not have happened had DM been still in charge.

We struggled down our right side first half but sorted it second. Brodie Spencer was excellent, what a change in that lad. They all did really well . Especially happy for Diarra and Wiles, hope that is a turning point for them. Matty Pearson was immense and Radinio looked really assured, especially second half. Damn well done all of them. I can't believe the difference between the Spencer who left and the one who has come back. He's gone from someone who I thought had no chance of making it to a player we could make a small fortune from. He left for Motherwell a boy, he came back a man. The kid looks superb. My problem now is trying to tell whether it's him or Radinio at first glance.

All about the result today, we got that but let's be honest we were garbage, that's worse than anything we'd seen under Moore in all honesty, thought Wednesay were the better side but the bar was set low. A set piece and 3 clobberings on the break, that'll do nicely. That's Wednesdsy almost certainly relegated today. Christ on a bike, we were not garbage. Defended well and got the measure of them when we started to beat the offside trap. I thoroughly enjoyed that game and every player on that field should hold their heads high. Instead of holding off we tackled them. Won the ball and got the crowd going. Spot on. We were....for long spells but credit the players and stand in. Kept going and got the rub of the green. Nobody could say they saw 4-0 after an hour but a great win and for me soton is a free hit next wk.

Presumably we'd spent all week on a system that involved at least one of them so to have to change on the morning of the game needs to be taken into account.

And Balker was superb at the back to the point I forgot Helik wasn’t playing, Spencer wasn’t far behind him either. Even after getting booked for an identical challenge to one on Matos, before, and one on JK, after, that the Bannan worshipper with the whistle totally ignored.

Today
First half, we did try and be more attacking, but seemed a bit edgey without giving away any proper chances to sheff wed.
2nd half altough we had lost both our "cf's" we seem to press onto sheff wed a lot more and break their play a lot higher, which allowed us to get more chances. We found the gaps between centre halfs and full bacs a lot easier. The key point is that once we got the first goal, unlike under moore the players stepped on to get more goals , which is a key part. Matos getting around the pitch instead of being deep was key. The players today also made sure they did the basics right which is key also. All in all its a good win and something we needed obviously.

Radulovic looked so weak and slow it was untrue and Healey just looks pants (in every game I’ve seen him). Dreadful recruitment in the striker department.
Matos and Balker played very well though so credit there

Did you look at the time I posted the question? It was during the first half. I wasn't at the match, so was asking a perfectly legitimate question based on the info I had at the time. Calm yourself..it wasn't serious

A yellow card for his hissy fit when the ref finally gave a foul against him and a 2nd for looking like Alex Pritchard 😁

Always nice to beat the massive, but reading their cocksure posts on Owlstalk before the game makes it all the more sweeter. Their match thread has 30 pages of how they'll hammer us then 20 pages of outrage of losing 4-0 to the worst team they've seen all season and of course the chansiri out stuff.
Excellent read 🤣🤣🤣

Sometimes logic disappears out of the window in football. Spent the 1st half thinking that we have no options on the bench ( again) but at least we had our two new forwards on the pitch. Bojan looks to struggle in a target man role - I thought this was why we bought him? Anyway, yet more injuries to add to the ever increasing list as we lose both new forwards and we go on to win 4-0! With QPR winning I wonder if there’s any chance of players staying fit and not becoming ill before the game - still much work to do. I’ve never know a situation as bad as this before. Hoggy played a Captains role today I thought. Moved up from his usual B+ to A-. My memory may be a bit ethanol fuelled but, the quick free kick for the 3rd goal, gives him a straight A for today.

Ben Wiles had a good impact today. Seemed a lot happier and more positive in his demeanour. Hopefully he has got over his niggles and will become what we expected him to be. Can Jack play with maths and wiles infront of them?

No Helik, Rudoni, Burgzorg, Yuta or Kasumu, no excuses or feeling sorry for ourselves. We didn't sit back after going 1-0 up and put them to the sword.
Well done lads 👏

Find the odd one out:-
Waterloo International Railway Station
The Gherkin, London
Scottish Parliament Building
John Smith Stadium, Huddersfield
The answer… None of them. Each is a previous winner of the Stirling Prize, aka the Royal Institute of British Architects Building of the Year. Yes, really!
Those of us old enough to remember Town‘s previous ground, Leeds Road, will recall it had become an absolute hole.
One day in about 1993, a colleague brought in the local newspaper, The Examiner, which had an article and an artist impression of a proposed new state-of-the-art, space-age, ground-breaking stadium for Town. It could not have been further removed from the ramshackle Leeds Road. We all laughed, and in the words of the famous philosopher Shrek, said “Yeah, like that’s ever going to happen”.

I think Radulovic and Healey will come good, but our best striker is still Josh Koroma for me. He’s the only forward player we have who is composed in the area, deserved his goals today and whatever system the new manager wants to play I hope he’s part of it.
