Shocking ref again today..
Spencer gets booked for fook all cos their lad rolls around and squeals..
20 seconds later radulovic is punched in the face by their centre half..
And has to go off with blurred vision/concussion..
No card..
🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

I thought Matos was superb today particularly as every time he was fouled Wednesday got a free kick!

Sheffield hit for 9 today, with no goals scored. No bragging rights in the steel city tonight.

For those that have a car. You take the handbrake off, you go forward. What if you're parked facing up a hill? Not such a steep incline now Moore has gone.

Now the dust is settling, time to reflect. Excellent win. And one that has played a big part in dragging a huge chunk of the division into the dogfight. Before today it looked like 3 from 4. Now it looks like the bottom 2 are all but gone, barring a miracle, and then it's 1 from another 7. All sides up to Millwall are definitely in it now, and Plymouth and Bristol City could still be looking over their shoulders with a bad run.
Was it a 4-0 game? Not really. But when we got chances we took them. It was the rapid-fire nature of the goals that absolutely floored Wednesday. Bam-bam. 0-0 to 2-0 in 2 minutes, and it was game over. They looked shell-shocked after that, made more mistakes, and we punished them. Which shouldn't take away from the quality of the second and third goals. Win the ball brilliantly (a hallmark of the performance today, we were so much more aggressive than we have been, even in the first half), great through ball finding the runner, early finish before the keeper is set. And a quick free-kick finding the runner in behind the full-back, a great pair of touches setting it perfectly, and an unerring finish. The fourth goal added a touch of comedy, complete the the goalkeeper getting away (almost) with flattening Diarra, falling over, and making Koroma's job even easier after it was put on a plate by very enjoyable comedy defending.
The first half lacked quality. Not effort or commitment. And given the fact that 2 players had to pull out before the game (with another key man failing a fitness test) and another went off after just 20 minutes, we had to adapt - no mean feat with a weak-looking bench. Wiles was excellent when he came on and gave us balance, which we sorely lacked. It was noticeable that we didn't have a single left-footer on the pitch for the first 80 minutes, and we did look lopsided at times in the first half.
Spencer was excellent again. I've always thought he looked neat and tidy and could do something going forward. Since coming back from Motherwell he's looked a real star in the making, especially considering how he's been moved around. We have a gem on our hands there, considering he's still only 19.
Maybe not the best 4-0 win there ever has been, but in the context we're in a huge, huge one.

For those that have a car. You take the handbrake off, you go forward. Does your Ranger Rover do that?

What a nice change to come away from a game having enjoyed it. What was it Mr Warnock said? "it's about putting smiles on people's faces".
There were shades of those games at the end of last season today. We may not be suddenly have become world beaters but it has given us belief for the challenges to come.
Lots of hard work to be done but a massive step in the right direction. Delighted for all concerned but especially Jon Worthington.

A sore nose? Fuck me rigid. Looked like a punch in the jaw to me. Not convinced it was an open hand as on the report. Should still have been a booking for their defender

Balker looked really good today. A classy operator. Matos has a lot to learn in terms of using the ball, but he absolutely tormented Barry Bannan all afternoon. Radulovic will need a bit of time to adapt to the pace and physicality of the Championship, but I think he'll be fine in the long run. Loved Wiles' performance, he seemed a lot more confident?
The right choice of manager, plus Burgzorg to come back, and I think we could beat the drop with relative ease. Today's win doesn't make us a great (or even a good) team all of a sudden, but we'd have definitely won a lot more of our games if someone credible had been in charge.

Not talking about that.. He’s a proper player.. Wish he was in our team.. 🍻 Should've been sent off near the end of the first half. A yellow card for his hissy fit when the ref finally gave a foul against him and a 2nd for looking like Alex Pritchard 😁 With his barnet, he was a bit more Noel Brotherton than Pritchard…

What if you're parked facing up a hill? What if you’ve crashed into your electric gate? My kind of humour this! 😁

He looks good off the bench when the opposition defenders are tired and the game is more stretched and he has space to have the ball played to his feet for a give and go like Hudlin against Heerenveen. But there's no point in paying good money for a striker who can only play well for 30 minutes

Moore was shite for us. Regarding the lack of strikers and and injuries: I think both you AND Nagle are wrong. We will have to agree to disagree then. Cracking result today and one that would not have happened had DM been still in charge. Definitely agree with you there!
