If we win on Saturday we'll be 9 points in front of Wednesday with a superior goal difference and should QPR lose at Blackburn we'd move 6 points in front of them, it's all jn our own hands. If we go down, it'll have been all of our own making. Not sure Wednesday will loose at home to Watford (Wednesday) *lose

If we go down, it'll have been all of our own making. Absolutely this. I find it really odd the amount of Town fans that have already resigned themselves to going down. 3 wins in 23 and we are still 3 points clear, granted it's mainly by virtue of how poor the bottom 3 are, but we are by no means down and out, nowhere near.

Yeh it’s nowhere near the situation when Warnock took over last year!weren’t we cut adrift by 7 points? Like I said before the qpr game, had we won that(we should have scoring that late) and won Saturday we would be 6 points clear of qpr and 11 clear of sheff weds. Or look at it another way…had we beat blackburn(again like we should have) and then qpr we’d now be 6 clear of qpr,1 clear of Blackburn and above Plymouth,Millwall,Swansea, stoke,Birmingham. All but for rudonis missed chance at Blackburn and giving away the soft goal on Sunday!!!Such fine lines but just shows even a small decent run under a new manager what difference it could make.

Absolutely. As bad as things were under Moore, there really wasn't that many games where we couldn't have quite easily ended up with 3 points. As you say, even just a modest improvement on what we've had under DM will likely see us pull well clear of any immediate danger.

This. Every club in this division has another 17 or 18 games remaining. That's either 51 or 54 points still to play for, even before you take into account the fact that some of those 17 or 18 games will be against sides around you in the table. Then consider that even if the teams below us win their games in hand AND beat us in the remaining fixture - they're STILL below us in the table. We're in trouble, certainly. And to be honest, I have us as 3rd favourites for the drop (QPR & Rotherham look worse off than us, Massive have a good enough coach that they may well stay up despite the turmoil there). But writing us off? Not a bit of it!

For the sake of turning just two or three out of all them draws we've had into wins we'd be in a a much more healthier position, its so frustrating.

Changed my vote from an inevitable draw, hoping for a much deserved win for the lads.

Difficult to predict anything with much confidence.
Worthy might be a brilliant caretaker, the players may play with freedom and put Wednesday to the sword. Or he might be hopeless. Results-wise Moore wasn't underachieving THAT badly & a draw seemed the most likely result if he was still here. If Worthington isn't at least reasonably competent head coach (& we have no way of knowing yet) I could see this being as comfortable for Massive as it was for Stoke just before Warnock & Jeppo took charge.

Lets see what happens tonight, Wendies lose/draw & they really have to go for it on Saturday, if they win they will be in the same boat as Town not wanting to lose, knowing a week later we have Saints away while they play host to Brum.......All eyes on Hillsborough tonight, I expect Worthy could be in the stands.

Are we expecting a striker in or one of the injured ones to be fit, with us letting Big Kyle go to Burton on loan for the rest of the season 🤔

The seven points claim came from Warnock and is untrue. We only got to seven points adrift after conceding four to Burnley & Coventry. But that, of course, doesn’t suit Warnock’s narrative!

Sounds like their main man Barry Bannan had a great game, hopefully that’s taken it out of his ageing legs with only 2 days rest before Sat
Huge game which we need to be winning, Wednesday have been in the relegation zone all season for a reason, they’re shite

SW will have to come at us at some point in the match, they have won games at Preston (29/12) & Stoke (9/12) recently (both 1-0)........Keep a clean sheet & a late winner will be a huge bonus..UTT

Although they didn't win the game last night, some of the Wendies lot are confident that they can beat Town & Brum at home (Fri 9th) putting themselves 4th bottom after the game.......They have done back to back wins twice in December, lets not blow the lead we have.
