Not a 'must win' for Town (over on 'massive talk' it is for them) & I don't expect we will be launching attack after attack, maintaining the five point over them lead is a lot more crucial. SW will have to come at us at some point in the match, they have won games at Preston (29/12) & Stoke (9/12) recently (both 1-0)........Keep a clean sheet & a late winner will be a huge bonus..UTT Again we have an excellent chance to put ourselves 8 points, yes, 8 points in front of Wednesday and potentially 6 in front of QPR and we're at home I'd say it is a must win game. Agree. Home game against a shit side below us. text book must win.

If we win on Saturday we'll be 9 points in front of Wednesday with a superior goal difference and should QPR lose at Blackburn we'd move 6 points in front of them, it's all jn our own hands. If we go down, it'll have been all of our own making. Absolutely this. I find it really odd the amount of Town fans that have already resigned themselves to going down. 3 wins in 23 and we are still 3 points clear, granted it's mainly by virtue of how poor the bottom 3 are, but we are by no means down and out, nowhere near. Certainly agree with this post, we were well cut adrift when Warnock took over last year, the form has been poor there's no denying that but a point is a point and they have kept us in 21st. Have lost count of the number of times QPR could have leapfrogged us!!, let's hope the new manager can turn the draws into wins, our fixtures are tougher on paper in the next few weeks but anything goes in the championship it's so unpredictable. My glass is half full as always but the club certainly need to get this next appointment spot on and get some stability back into the club.

Given we didn't get the ball playing midfielder I thought we needed Jon Worthington needs to find a formation that works. A formation that carries a threat but remains solid out of possession.
It will be interesting which way he goes.
I'd have 4 at the back with Spencer RB, Jackson LB, Helik (if fit), and or Pearson/Lees
If he's playing Hogg* I'd have him sitting in front with a 4 of Koroma, Rudoni, Matos and Sorba.
Bojan up top (play the ball into his feet and get the best out of him).
* I'd actually prefer to see Matos there and play either Kasumu or try and get a tune out of Wiles (who, for all of the fact he's been hopeless so far, I think there is a player of some ability in there).
I hope that the change from Moore means a change in philosophy might result in a freer mindset. It might be "Sunday League" team talks and effort but whatever it is we need to win!
Win and it gives the new man, whoever it is (those ITK will surely be breaking this news imminently 🙄),a platform to work on. Lose and an already difficult job becomes even more daunting.
I'm pretty sure those in attendance will be up for the game. It's important we give those on the pitch as much encouragement as possible.

Now that DM is gone the atmosphere should be immeasurably better. With Worthy being "one of our own" I think most will be behind him anyway.

God JW press conference already 20x better than DM's, enthusiasm and passion. It doesn't take a lot sometimes, come on town put a big performance in for him.

Matty Pearson clearly didn't take to dreary Darren's approach and thinks we were just trying to draw games under him
Jon basically said the same and came across very mature and confident👍
So I'm going for 4-1 to Town

They clearly didn't like Moore's approach. When asked what would be different, Worthington said "different mentality." I wonder if Pearson's appearance at the press conference means he will be playing.

Watching the presser... Pearson not a fan of Moores' tactics by the look of it.

Interesting stat...Town are joint 9th with brizzle and Plymouth with fewest defeats
Even Norwich have lost a game more than us

Pretty much how I see it, 1-1 is only 5/1 & SW to win 1-0 @17/2 or either to win 1-0 @9/4.......Going for two bets, 0-0 @9/1 & Town to win 1-0 @7/1..UTT

Watching the presser... Pearson not a fan of Moores' tactics by the look of it. Pretty honest and refreshing interview. It also validates what some people have said regarding the players being unhappy with the coaching/tactics of Moore.

JW will trust old heads rather than throw Balker into a derby game

How refreshing was that pre match presser with Jon Worthington?
He clearly wasn't impressed with the approach of the previous regime and it sounds like Pearson felt the same (haven't listened to his interview yet)

Nicholls Spencer Helik🤞Lees Jackson Rudoni Hogg Matos Thomas Healey Koroma
This suits the front foot pressing that Worthington mentioned. If we're having a higher line than usual I'd want Balker's recovery pace in the side if Helik's injured. Plenty of bench options too.

I presume all these fans that claimed they're not going down until Moore has gone will be in attendance tomorrow? 🤔

Pearson will be in for injured Helik with Hoggy in front of back four & Healey or Rads ahead of midfield/wide men (4-1-4-1?).......Not too high up the pitch, although Spencer should have pace.

Agree. Home game against a shit side below us. text book must win. We need another poll, 'must win' or 'must not lose'.......I bet you MNL is the majority. In his press conference Worthington has said that the last seventeen games are "must win games." "Fortunately there are 17 games left, so they’re all must wins,” the caretaker boss added. “We want to go into every game to win the game, that’s how I see it and that’s the mentality, and with that group of players and the squad we’ve got, that’s the mentality everybody should be going in with."www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/huddersfield-town-players-sent-passionate-28558929

Yeah, just to underline what others have said, it’s email (and can be scanned at the turnstile on your phone rather than printed out). Bought a ticket for my little boy the other day, and the email came through instantly with the ticket.
