Hecky for me, folk are a bit blinkered and unrealistic.
Whilst he’s not perfect he’s a good appointment in my view.

“Big short term impact” in the statement. I wonder if the new man is already lined up

I get Will Still from the longer term view, but would he have the immediate impact to do the job to end of season, for that I would think Hecky might be the choice...

Votes for Jones, Heckingbottom and Marsch but non for Cooper. Glad this board doesn’t get to decide!
Jones is off to Charlton thankfully, Heckingbottom is a big risk, Marsch would probably be a disaster, Eustace isn’t proven enough based on what Brum fans say about him.
For me it would be all out to get Cooper however unlikely that is. Yes he may have eyes on a Prem job but his record there isn’t exactly great, if Kev can sell the vision then why not?

Michael Duff or John Eustace would be good choices in my opinion. Will Still would be a big risk at this time and I couldn't see him being interested anyway.

The new appointment will hopefully be “soon” according to the club statement, suggesting someone is already lined up. I suspect it’ll likely be Paul Heckingbottom, otherwise John Eustace or Michael Duff would be my choice. I couldn’t say regarding any overseas appointment as I couldn’t even name any!
No to either Nathan Jones or Gary Rowett for me.

Will Still has Reims challenging for Europe. Why the hell would he come here?

Whoever it is will be our sixth permanent manager in just over 18 months.
Absolute shambles.

Of that list, Cooper.
Though the club will have to make press conferences available in podcast form.

Heckingbottom feels like it could just be a continuation of the same thing.
Will Still would feel like a really exciting appointment.
Not convinced by Eustace.
Cooper likely unrealistic but would certainly be a statement of intent to be looking towards rather than down.

I just can't see us taking any risks. Suspect it'll be underwhelming i.e. Heckingbottom but the squad has proved it can play some decent stuff at times - maybe someone with new ideas can get enough out of them.
I'd love someone on a short-term to rebuild in summer, but who would go for that other than a Warnock type.
