Steve cooper not a bad shout I’d imagine he’ll have more ambition than town. So would Steve Evans...

Where have I once said he’s going to play front foot attacking football? Oh ok so you just want a slightly better brand of what Darren Moore is playing fair enough. So Warnock style then? His was a better brand as he got the best out of players. Wasn't exactly entertaining and attacking was it? Heckingbottom wouldn't be my number 1 choice, but I think he is a realistic option.

Judging by the statement it won’t be someone til the end of the season. “We’re looking for our next appointment to have a big short-term impact, but also to fit with our longer-term strategy of building an attack-minded, progressive style of football over a number of seasons.”
Presumably we’re getting pep then from that statement 😂 In all seriousness I think duff is suited to the players we have but maybe someone who is attack minded can get more from them.Got to think someone is lined up as there isn’t really time to waste.

We do know we support Huddersfield Town at the bottom of the Championship?
Heckingbottom has just taken a not so great Sheffield United team to the Premier League where the owners actually sold players on promotion.
Now we think it’s uninspiring and should be aiming higher? Have a we adopted some self entitled Leeds fans along the way?

The other clubs in relegation trouble have appointed managers who will most likely stay on in League One, my view would be someone who will keep us up 1st & foremost......Possibly short term & experienced ie Sam or NP.

Oh ok so you just want a slightly better brand of what Darren Moore is playing fair enough. Again, where have I said that? If you’re going to continue putting words in my mouth instead of asking me why then we’re done here. Sorry mate, I just don't see us picking bland mundane FA coaches as the answer, there's a reason hardly any of the coaches in the Prem are English, they are super limited. With the resources we have we have to go left field and get somebody who can implement a methodology that's not only new to the players but excites them, just like Corberan did just like Wagner did. Yes there would be a danger they'd be poached within 2 years but getting your Darren Moore's Danny Cowleys etc etc will never be the answer for this club in the Championship, we have one of the smallest budgets so need to maximise it.

Gary Rowett for me, more than proven at this level to get us up the table. Might not be the man to get us promoted, but that is a million miles away right now.

I've heard good things about the young and upcoming manager at Mainz, Jan Siewert. If he isn't available i suggest we go for Martin from Wakefield.

Don't get why a left field foreign appointment means we will do well. It's all down to luck a lot of the time. So many managerbhave fantastic spells then do shocking elsewhere.

This has been on the cards for weeks, if not months. I'd be surprised if we haven't already sounded out potential candidates?

Klopp announcement just before Moore gets sacked… hard to be just a coincidence.. Exactly, the timing's too much of a coincidence. He obviously saw the situation unravelling here and made the decision to leave Liverpool. Another clue is that he said his next job wouldn't be in the Premier League. I expect a further announcement later today to confirm the details.

We should never have got rid of Warnock in the 1st place. Our new American owner would have been wise to get his feet under the table, let Warnock do his thing and give him time to find the right replacement. Now it's panic mode again

Will Still has Reims challenging for Europe. Why the hell would he come here? Was just going to ask the very same. Seems to be a very unrealistic target, even if an exciting one.

Darren Moore Got .86 Points Per Game in Charge. Paul Heckingbottom's best return so far was his stint at Sheffield where he achieved a return of 1.65 Points per game, he had a good side that year with better players than we currently have available. The big if, is can he achieve anywhere near that again if given the Town job. If so it would leave us on 56 points come the end of the season which is three points above where we ended up last season. If more likely he were to get around 1.40 points per game then it would have us on 51 points and it would be squeaky bum time for sure. The club may view him as being a safe pair of hands in the short term but every manager we have had since Wagner has turned out to be relatively short term due to the lack of investment towards the end of Phil/Dean's reign in charge. Hopefully we get one more quality addition on the left wing before the window closes, if so I think we will be OK. Heckingbottom's football would not take long to learn as it is essentially the same as Moores, with the only difference being he seems to put players in their preferred positions, if that is the case then I see know reason why we would not start moving up the table.

This has been on the cards for weeks, if not months. I'd be surprised if we haven't already sounded out potential candidates? I said late last week we would lose Sunday, Moore would be gone by Monday lunchtime and the new man in by Wednesday. I was slightly off with the result but it seems to be playing out as I thought. I’d love Cooper but he’ll have bigger fish to fry, I’d be fine with Rowett given the job that’s required but I think it’ll be Heckinbotham. Better than what we’ve just let go but not particularly exciting for the fans. We would certainly have more chance of getting out of it with Heckinbotham in charge over Moore but I wonder with this appointment whether there’s one eye on us being relegated and Heckinbotham has taken a team out of League 1 before. Alternatively, Kev flashes the cash and does bring in a Cooper or likewise. Because we screwed up royally with Moore - remember who many Town fans were not happy with from the start - we really can’t afford any more slip-ups.
