Controversial opinion but we absolutely deserved to be 2-0 up at half time and we was very unlucky to concede as quickly as we did.
The lad took a pot shot and 9 times out of 10 that volley goes high and wide. That goal gave them momentum but if that shot doesn't go in I reckon we win the game as they get more and more frustrated 2-0 down

It's pretty obvious that it'll be Worthington until the end of the season.

That goal was crucial and coming when it did was a big blow. hell of a strike but like you say , I bet he'd miss or have it saved almost every attempt he made.

I was surprised we firmed up and made it 2-3. That was our chance to re-group. They are too far in front of us in terms of quality and the effort everyone of our players had to put in to get us in that position drained them. I'd prefer to lose like that than sit back and hope for a miracle.

It's pretty obvious that it'll be Worthington until the end of the season. I think they are just being ultra cautious, or maybe trying to persuade a surprising nunber 1 target. I reckon we'll have someone before the weekend game, I'm guessing but the moral amongst the squad looks good. Hope we can turn up tonight.

It seems the same folk who will flap and wet the bed if we appoint another Moore are also now wetting the bed over the fact the club are seemingly taking their time trying to get this right and not rushing into a Moore type appointment. If we wanted to appoint a Duff or similar type we could have by now.
The club are either trying to persuade a target. Waiting on a work permit. Being rejected by a target so pivoting to the next.
Any of the above can all be seen as positive, even being rejected by a target isn't the end of the world if you are aiming high enough it will happen. Time will tell but I am encouraged by the fact we haven't rushed into an appointment.

Levels. Probably is alright for Port Vale. Hope they get relegated, never liked them bastards Weirdly I'm the same but I've no clue why. I've never known a fan of them and I'm not anti-Robbie Williams (I actually quite like some of his "rockier" output) but for some reason I've just always disliked the club. Not on the same level of dislike as L***s and Shitty but I always have a wry smile when I see they've lost. [confusion emoji]

Plus the 1st is unlucky as it takes a slight deflection from Lees. Otherwise its straight at Nichols hands for a save. I don't think we can bemoan a deflection on their first goal considering the extent to which Matos's shot was deflected.

As well as we played we managed to throw the Southampton game away twice.
It can’t be Worthington. If Stoke, QPR. Blackburn appointed their youth team coach for the rest of the season you’d think they had lost their minds.

I was sat with a Vale fan in their family stand for that one! And I missed the 7-1 as well. Remember them beating us 4-0 at our place on the last day of the season at our place to stop up. There were a run of games around that time where every club seemed to come to ours on the last day and have a party for one reason or another.

You suggesting we managed to throw the game away twice and digs further up suggesting we lost the game comfortably. If every side who took a lead went on to win the game football would be even more boring than it already is and as for losing the game comfortably I doubt you'll find a fair minded Saints fan who will agree. Or their manager and players. I'd be surprised if either of you were actually at the game.

I remember that one, they were rubbing our faces in it, I think they blasted out Downtown on the PA during their 3rd goal celebration iirc.
