Will be speaking to and interviewing former Town player and reserve team coach, Terry Dolan. He played for the club between 1970 and 1976, and was reserve team manager between 1997 and 2000.
Does anyone have any memories? Or anything they want to ask him?

Was he ever genuinely I the frame to be Town manager after being continuously linked with the job?
He actually built a good squad at Bradford and probably a bit unlucky not to win promotion. That defeat to Town at VP threw a right spoke in their wheel.

I once got him & Mark Lillis mixed up in the Crown a few years ago (oops, good for older Terry), ask why he was always on the bench (only 1 sub) when Towns goalie got crocked.......Just a coincidence or did Greavsie tell him to bring some gloves? At least 3 times from memory.

All I remember about him as a player for us was people around me shouting "For fuck sake Dolan !!!" Think he might have been the nominated scapegoat at the time.....

Funnily enough I was thinking about Terry Dolan a couple of days ago after he got a brief mention on a recent episode of Quickly Kevin. Mid way through a correspondence from a 90's Hull fan was a reference to a folkloric HCAFC incident when Dolan spent part of a game managing the side with a "Sack Dolan" sticker attached to his head. Unsurprisingly I decided I needed to know more about it, and managed to find a 'match report' from Hull's trip to Torquay in Feb 1997. Not what you are after, but an abiding memory of him for a niche section of the Hull fanbase

Anyone decent they had they had to sell, Windass being one.

When Terry joined Town in 1970 they were a First Division club and had never played lower than the second tier. When he left in 1976 they were a Fourth Division club. How on Earth can that happen?

He rubbished the club a lot whilst he was at Hull. Care to comment on that?

Ask him why he didn't leave earlier, slid a long way down in his time here.

Ask him why it went so wrong at Bradford Park Avenue before his move to Town.

Bradford City are Park Avenue's noisy little neighbours. Discuss

htafcokay Can you suffix your title threads in future with "interview" or even "not dead", as I always fear the worst when it's just a name? π

That defeat to Town at VP threw a right spoke in their wheel. First question on the list! I seem to recall that he was, but the response from fans was not exactly positive so the board at the time decided against it. Seemed an even less popular idea than the one to appoint Duff now.

That was after Warnock's departure. Yeah, that sounds about right. Knew it was either just before or just after Warnock's 1st spell here. IIRC the board admitted they rejected him on those grounds.

Two Questions for Terry -
1) What do you think of Townβs new manager and How do you think he will get on at HTAFC... (assuning of course that heβs been appointed by your interview day)
2) Have you ever heard of Islay and if so - Do you have a favourite whisky from there ! π₯

Does Terry have fond memories of Bob Latchford? π He did Poole & Lawson but Terry survived in both cup ties till the final whistle. When Poole got injured v PNE at Leeds Rd I'm sure it was Dolan again......With Bobby Charlton scoring past him.
