A few people underestimating Sunderland. They may blow hot and cold, but they are 7th, did finish in the play-offs last season, and will pose a threat. We'll have to be on it to get a positive result. That being said, press them from the word go (and I'd rotate a couple with that in mind, after Saturday's efforts), move the ball quickly when it turns over, and see where we get. If we have Helik and Balker back (plus hopefully Burgzorg) we'll be in a good position. Yes, but we're playing like Barcelona now so obviously we're going to win. Hudderslona or Barcafield?

Bit worried about dealing with Clarke if Spencer is out and we could really do with Helik and Burgzorg back to lift the team. According to Steven Chicken, Worthington said that Spencer just had cramp rather than an injury.

Sunderland have won 4 away this season, 3 out of 3 back in September at SW, QPR & Blackburn, but just once since on Boxing day at Hull followed by draws at Rotherham, Boro & defeat to Ipswich (double).....Referee Gavin Ward like Worthy is looking at back to back victories at JSS (v QPR), he booked Yuta (timewasting) & Burgzorg (diving). UTT.

Winning this one would be great for many reasons, but I really can't stand Michael Beale, so that would be one of them ! Come on Town ! UTT

This is a tough, tough game. Sunderland are no pushovers. If Moore in charge it would have been 1-1 at best. With Worthy we can win. In other words: hope!

Sunderland are, like most teams in this league, bang average,no reason why we can't win this.

I still can’t get my head around how a side can change in two games. We have literally gone from a “bore-fest” - to an exciting front foot team.
How could Moore be so bad ?
Guess we should have known when he messed up his subs against Ipswich and we got a draw when we should have won (and deserved to).

If Spencer isn’t ready to start I’d put Kasumu (assuming he’s fit) on Clark. There was a game earlier in the season where he nullified a good left winger.
If he’s up against Thomas he’ll have a field day.

I was thinking of Blackburn away where Thomas gave their left wing back the freedom of Lancashire. Jackson has been poor recently so I still think we should go with Kasumu. The game I was thinking of is Plymouth, Bali mumba rinsed us at their place but Kasumu did a number on him last month.

I think he is quick enough and strong enough to do the job.

Glad this one is coming up soon. Home game. Winnable game. I’m going for a 2-1 win Town. We got 2-1 away under Bore Draw so we should be looking for ar least a 6-0 with how performances with and without him compare and with there being home advantage. Although Sunderland away was one of only a few games where Moore actually allowed the players to attack. Sunderland are an inconsistent side who weren't at their best that day and probably still deserved a point. Under Moore, I tended to hope for a draw in winnable games. Now I'd be disappointed with anything less than 3 points. Still, I'm not going to underestimate them. They've got a decent side.

They can play some decent stuff but as you say are inconsistent and they look like they lack physicality to me. I think if we get into them with the same intensity we played with at Southampton we have a good chance of winning. Slightly worried how much Saturday has taken out of us, but they played as well…

Clean sheet & win @9/2 UTT.

This will be a loss.
Team knackered after the weekend.
Important players out through injury.
Can't see the tactics improving much.
Fully expecting. Nervy 25 mins, settle in, go full steam on front foot.
Leave gaps. Concede before half time.
Come out needing a goal, go on front foot.
Gaps open up. Concede a second. Tiredness and enthusiasm drop. Concede a third.
